At 31, I was training harder, eating less, obsessing more…
and somehow looked more inflamed than I do now at 40.

Back then, I thought discipline meant:
• more cardio
• more restriction
• more control
• pushing harder

But after bodybuilding, my relationship with food and my body was cooked.

What started as ā€œhealthy eatingā€ slowly turned into food obsession, binge/restrict cycles, chronic stress and a nervous system constantly stuck in survival mode.

My body wasn’t failing me.
It was adapting to what I was putting it through.

Hell. šŸ˜‚

Fast forward to now…

I train 3-4x a week.
I eat MORE.
I stress less.
I prioritize nourishment, recovery, muscle, sleep, hormones and peace.

And ironically?
THAT’S when my body changed.

Not just physically…
mentally too.

This is your reminder that:
more punishment does not equal better results.

Sometimes the glow up is finally feeling safe in your own body again.

Comment ā€œFREEā€ if you’re done with the binge/restrict cycle. I got you.

For years, I thought the goal was to get as lean as possible.

And honestly?
The fitness industry rewarded me for it.

The compliments.
The abs.
The stage photos.
The validation.
The praise for being ā€œdisciplined.ā€

But behind the scenes?

I was exhausted.
Food obsessed.
Overtraining.
Running on stress hormones.
I lost my period.
And without realizing it, I was developing my first eating disorder.

What looked ā€œhealthyā€ on the outside was actually one of the unhealthiest relationships I’ve ever had with my body.

That experience changed the way I coach forever.

I don’t coach women to disappear anymore.

I coach women to:
• build muscle
• support their hormones
• heal their metabolism
• regulate their nervous systems
• eat without fear
• and become strong enough to actually enjoy their lives.

And ironically?

I feel more confident, feminine, grounded, energized, and FREE now than I ever did at my leanest.

Because there’s a massive difference between being lean and being well.

A missing period isn’t a badge of honor.
Neither is chronic under-eating.

And women deserve better than being taught to call survival ā€œdiscipline.ā€

If this resonates, drop a ā¤ļø or share this with a woman who needs to hear it.

Not here to help women get smaller.

I’m here to help them get stronger.
Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. Energetically.

Because ā€œhealthā€ was never just about calories, abs, and a lower number on the scale.

It’s about building a body that feels powerful.
A metabolism that works with you instead of against you.
Standards that protect your peace.
A nervous system that feels safe.
A life you don’t constantly need to escape from.

And honestly?
I’m rebuilding a lot of that in real time too.

So if you’re here for:
strong bodies, emotional intelligence, self-respect, longevity, depth, healing your relationship with yourself, and evolving in every damn direction…

hi šŸ¤
You’re in the right place.

I don’t really believe in becoming a ā€œnewā€ version of yourself anymore.

I think we’re mostly just outgrowing the versions of us that once made sense.

The woman who thought being smaller would make her happier.

The woman who needed everyone to like her.

The woman who questioned herself before she trusted herself.

The woman who stayed waaayy too long.

The woman who made herself smaller so other people could feel comfortable.

I don’t look back at any of those women and cringe.

She was doing the best she could with what she knew at the time.

And honestly, I needed every single version of her to become THIS one.

I don’t hate any of those women.

They got me here.

Turns out, outgrowing yourself is kind of the f**king point. taken in New York, New York by @hartwellness

18 years is a long time to spend watching people try to change their bodies.

Long enough to change my mind about a lot of shit. I used to think being a good coach meant having the best workout. The perfect nutrition plan. Knowing exactly what someone needed to do to get the result they wanted.

And sure, that stuff matters. But the longer I do this, the more I realize the workout is usually the easy part.

It’s everything around it that gets complicated.

Stress. Sleep. Relationships. Food. Work. Grief. Aging. Boundaries. The way you talk to yourself when you fuck up. The ability to have one bad day without turning it into a bad month.

Your ACTUAL life.

And somewhere along the way, I stopped being nearly as interested in helping women see how small they could get.

I want you strong.
I want you capable.
I want you well-fed.
I want you to trust yourself.

Maybe that’s the biggest thing I’ve changed my mind about after 18 years in this industry.

I’m not here to make women smaller.
I’m here to help make them harder to break.

There have been maanyy versions of me…

The one who thought being smaller would make her happier.

The one who said yes when she meant no.

The one who confused being needed with being loved.

The one who thought being strong meant handling everything alone.

The one who kept asking other people what she already knew.

The one who thought everyone else was somehow ahead of her.

And I don’t hate any of them.

Actually, I have a lot of love for those women.

They were doing what they knew how to do at the time.
To protect me. Push me. Get me through some tough shit. And ultimately, they led me here.

Getting older made me realize that growth isn’t always about adding MORE…

Sometimes it’s realizing which versions of yourself you don’t need anymore.

Some versions of you were built for the life you had.
Not the life you want.

And I think 40 has been a lot less about finally ā€œfinding myselfā€ and a lot more about trusting myself enough to keep becoming her.

Here’s to meeting a few more versions of me. šŸ„‚ taken in Manhattan, New York by @hartwellness

I really thought I’d have more shit figured out by this age šŸ˜‚

Not everything. But definitely more than this.

I thought there would be some point where I’d feel completely sure of myself. Where the right decisions would be obvious. Where I’d stop overthinking. Stop questioning. Stop wondering if I was doing enough, too much, or heading in the right direction.

Turns out, no. lol.

But something else happened instead.

I got better at trusting myself.

I trust myself to make a decision and deal with what comes next. To change my mind when something stops feeling right. To fuck something up and recover. To leave. To stay. To start over. To not have the answer yet and be okay anyway.

Maybe growing up isn’t finally knowing what the hell you’re doing.

Maybe it’s realizing you don’t always need to.

I know less than I thought I would by now.
But I trust myself a hell of a lot more. And I’ll take that trade. šŸ¤ taken in New York, New York by @hartwellness

Apparently getting older is supposed to come w/ a growing list of things you should stop doing??

Dressing a certain way.
Going certain places.
Being a little vain.
Flirting.
Dancing.
Trying new shit.
Changing your mind.
Wanting more.
Taking up space.

Respectfully, I will not be participating. šŸ˜‚

There are absolutely things I’m happy to leave behind as I get older. But the parts of me that make me feel curious, sexy, strong, ambitious, playful and very much alive?

I’m keeping those.

I don’t want to spend the second half of my life slowly retiring from myself. Quite the opposite, actually.

I think I’m just getting more comfortable being HER.

1. You can miss a workout without turning it into a personality crisis. You don’t need to ā€œmake up for it.ā€ You don’t punish yourself with extra cardio. You just train the next time you planned to.

1. You can eat something purely because it tastes good.
No earning it. No burning it off. No cutting carbs tomorrow because you had pasta tonight.

3. A rest day actually means REST.
Not 17,000 steps because sitting still made you feel guilty.

4. Your body can change without your mood changing with it.
Whether you’re bloated, up two pounds, less defined today…cool. You still get dressed and go live your life.

1. You think about fitness LESS.
And weirdly…you may be more consistent than ever.

Somewhere along the way, fitness was sold to us as something our entire lives were supposed to revolve around.

And I think we got that shit backwards.

Your life isn’t supposed to support your fitness routine. Your fitness routine is supposed to support your life.

If you’re trying to get in incredible shape without making fitness your entire personality, we should probably talk. 1:1 coaching spots are back open! DM ME the word ā€œREADY. ā€œ taken in Manhattan, New York by @hartwellness

Most of the things that changed my life didn’t feel particularly important at the time.

No huge revelation.
No dramatic reinvention.
No ā€œnew me.ā€

Just little decisions I made often enough that eventually they became the way I LIVE.

Go for the walk.
Move when my head gets loud.
Go to bed.
Say no.
Stop explaining.
Go anyway.
Let some things go.
Keep the promises nobody else knows I made.

Turns out the big stuff gets a lot of credit.

But I’m increasingly convinced the little stuff does most of the work.

And maybe that’s what real change looks like most of the time.

Not one massive decision.

Just a bunch of small ones that slowly start changing the way your life feels.

If you’re working on making a few of those changes yourself, I’d love to help. My DMs are open. šŸ¤ taken in New York, New York by @hartwellness
