Grace & Nick

A beautiful celebration at @grittletonhouseevents with the sweetest couple. Grace and Nick were absolutely beaming from start to finish!! They exchanged vows in an intimate church ceremony before spending the afternoon enjoying cocktails in the gardens with their favourite people.

Days like this are exactly why I love documentary wedding photography. Capturing all the big moments, the quiet in-between moments, and everything that makes a wedding feel uniquely yours.

Every couple brings their own energy, personalities, comfort levels and culture.

The right prompts for one couple might feel totally wrong for another… and that’s exactly why your photographer should take time to understand you.

Because when you feel seen and comfortable, the photos don’t just look good - they feel like you.

Beautiful wedding photography doesn’t depend on perfect weather. 🤍

Rain, sunshine, overcast skies, golden hour or indoors - every lighting condition brings something different to a wedding gallery.

But there are a few things worth considering when planning your day.

Your venue matters. Not just how it looks, but how the light moves through it. Big windows, beautiful interiors, outdoor spaces and somewhere to escape to if the weather turns can all make a difference to your photos.

Light matters. Harsh midday sunshine creates a completely different look to soft, overcast skies. Golden hour brings warmth, while darker interiors can create beautifully atmospheric images. None are necessarily better than the other, they’re just different.

And your photographer matters. Understanding light, knowing where to position people and being able to adapt when conditions change is such an important part of the job.

Because the reality is, you can’t control the weather on your wedding day. And you shouldn’t have to spend the day worrying about it either.

A good photographer knows how to work with what’s in front of them, finding opportunities in every setting and making the most of whatever the day brings.

After all, beautiful photographs aren’t about having perfect conditions. They’re about knowing what to do with them. 🤍

Chloe & Ollie 🤍

A little glimpse of their autumn wedding in the Suffolk countryside. A beautiful church ceremony, the prettiest lace and a first dance that would put Hugh Grant to shame.

I love a wedding where everyone throws themselves into the celebrations, and these two and their people did exactly that. So many big smiles and lovely little moments to capture.

Married at Kew.

Miral & Vivek, surrounded by palms, glasshouses and all that incredible greenery. Kew Gardens really is something else for a wedding. From their ceremony in the Nash Conservatory, to drinks at the Princess of Wales Conservatory surrounded by palms and tropical greenery, before heading to the Orangery for dinner and partying.

Honestly, what an incredible venue. Every part of Kew feels like stepping into somewhere completely different.

The dreamiest backdrop, the loveliest people and one very beautiful day. ✨

Emma & James 🤍

Such a beautiful day, but some of my favourite moments were the ones with their little girl, Lily. Her tiny dress hanging next to her mum’s, hiding under the veil together, and being right there in the middle of it all.

After a week of setting up for their day in the rain; the sun came out on friday for Lucy & Josh.
