So grateful, humbled, recharged and just a little sore. ;) I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be a tiny part of such good work on behalf of my love-filled colleagues at Hattie B’s. Unending thanks to the entire team at ChefsCycle, No Kid Hungry, and Share Our Strength, the rider family, volunteers and supporters who made this our best year yet! Who’s in for Bend 2027? Feeding kids is where it’s at!! ❤️ taken in Bend, Oregon by @hattiebmo

Chef Brian had a blast showing @swaggonerrr from @weareaustin around our South Lamar spot. If you can’t tell, we’re ready for patio season! Just ask Sierra… fun games, some Dirty Bird Fries or the Southern Salad (psst… try the Sweet & Smoky dry rub). And our vacation-inspired Pain Killer, of course! The perfect patio pairing. 😎 taken in Hattie B's Hot Chicken by @hattiebmo

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

SUMMER EBT:
⭐️ fed 700,000 kids across all 95 counties
⭐️ cost the state about $5 million to administer

AND

⭐️ brought in over $80 million federal dollars to boost TN’s economy
⭐️ reduced food insecurity by 8.3%

TENNESSEE SUMMER NUTRITION INITIATIVE (TSNI):
🔻 fed only 18,000 kids across 15 counties
🔻 failed to reach our most food insecure counties
🔻 cost the state about $3 million to administer but reached less than 4% of eligible children

Summer EBT is more cost effective and reaches more food insecure children. So why won’t we say yes?

We asked our legislators this question today. We ask you to do the same!

Call your legislators and ask them to VOTE YES for HB1835/SB1911 and keep Summer EBT in Tennessee for good.

Turn your green bean casserole into the sasserole we all know it can be 💁‍♀️ French fried onions are a classic, but what if you jazz up the topping using @flock.foods Hattie B’s-seasoned chicken skin crisps? A little 💥spice💥 goes a long way!

Family Thai x Hattie B’s
A platter of fried chicken is on the cover of Family Thai, Bringing the Flavors of Thailand Home that just debuted this week. There’s actually a town in Thailand called Hatyai that is known for this iconic Southern fried star; a dish synonymous to Nashville. So since there is a little taste of Tennessee in Thailand, the question is now… can we do a bit of Thailand in Tennessee? We say yes!!! Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and International Market… what a flavor explosion. We may be on to something here.

Family Thai by Arnold Myint is now available worldwide wherever books are sold. Be sure to grab a copy for yourself.
