Fear is on the spectrum of love. Sure, it’s on the opposite end but did you ever think about how fear instinctually shows you love? Trip on a sidewalk, reflexes kick in, your arms fly upwards to maintain your balance and simultaneously get a quick lurch in your stomach! Did love do that? Definitely not, it’s FEAR that kept you on your feet.

The day to day fears we experience as adults differ greatly from those we experienced as children, but fear remains part of the human experience. Fear keeps us from dying - the messy, gross overreacting guardian that keeps us alert and occasionally very uncomfortable. Fear keeps us alive! I said what I said. Not to underprice love, I’m just saying fear gets a bad rap.

Fear is your brain’s oldest form of affection - a built in alarm system designed to protect the body from harm, heart break and danger.
Before romance, before roses, before poetry there was fear…

This set of Valentine cards* celebrate fear not as weakness, but as love in its most primal form: sweaty palms, racing hearts, intrusive thoughts, and gut feelings trying their best to keep us safe.
Happy RL Stinetine’s Day!

Buster was such a funny cat. He had so much personality. Sometimes he was so cranky and hated everyone but me to the point that it was a running joke. Many people were entertained by Buster’s sass. He looked out for his sister and forcibly groomed her from time to time, for her own good and loved her incredibly dearly. Of course he’d also wrestle with her to the point that he would throw his entire body weight on top her, a cat half his size. Buster was a dedicated companion, my little familiar, my shadow. If you knew him, you could attest this. He had more theme songs and nicknames that I hope to never forget and I will miss Buster with my whole heart. I love you forever, Bubbe💙🐾BUSTER MEOWGI BLUTH WELLS 04/23/2013 - 04/28/2025 by @haylst0rm

“I like to make films because I like to go into another world. I like to get lost in another world. And film to me is a magical medium that makes you dream…allows you to dream in the dark. It’s just a fantastic thing, to get lost inside the world of film.” Thank you #DavidLynch for making films that beg the question ‘is this a dream?’ You were a visionary. And big thank you to @augiecon12 for your help with designs. #happyvaLYNCHtinesday #twinpeaks #dune #mulhollanddrive #davidlynchweatherreport by @haylst0rm

Hinge is dumb. Instagram and social media, also dumb. Going to live the Edie Beale way with Mother Darling and the cats as a staunch character. #bealegirlsummer by @haylst0rm
