🌺 Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

At the Holy Cross Institute, we are honoring the rich tradition of Hispanic and Latino faith, culture, and witness in the Catholic Church — and the saints who carry that legacy forward. 🙏

This month we are sharing the stories of remarkable figures like Our Lady of Guadalupe, Blessed Carlos Manuel Rodríguez Santiago of Puerto Rico — the first Caribbean-born layperson to be beatified — and Blessed María Carmen Rendiles Martínez of Venezuela, whose lives remind us that holiness has no borders. 💙

🙏 Happy Feast Day of Our Lady of Sorrows!

Today, September 15th, the Congregation of Holy Cross pauses to honor Our Lady of Sorrows — our patroness and the most important Feast Day in the Holy Cross tradition, celebrated by priests, brothers, and sisters throughout the world. 💙

To mark this special day, the Holy Cross Institute will be tabling at Ragsdale Plaza from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Stop by to say hi and celebrate with us! 🎉

🔔 And listen for the @stedwardsu campus bells ringing at 10:45 a.m., noon, and 1:45 p.m. in honor of the feast! @stedwardsu @seualumni

💙 Our newest Holy Cross Ambassadors traded the campus for the trail this weekend!

The Class of 2030 headed to @wildbasin operated by @stedwardsu for a guided hike through the Texas Hill Country — and for one student from New York City, it was his very first hike ever. 🗽➡️🤠 Special thanks to Paul Vickery for the tour!

Between the trails, journaling, and deep conversation about what it means to live the Holy Cross mission at St. Edward’s, these students are already growing into the leaders we knew they could be. 🌿

💙 Welcome, Holy Cross Ambassadors — Class of 2030!

We had the joy of hosting an Open House for our newest cohort — former Holy Cross HS students from across the country and around the world, ready to carry the Holy Cross mission forward at St. Edward’s University. 🙏

We were honored to be joined by Dr. Matthew Shank, Dr. Marianne Ward-Peradoza, Fr. Richard Wilkinson, C.S.C., and Mr. Joe DeMedeiros to welcome them to the Hilltop along with our already established Ambassadors and other SEU students!
