Someone once told me that I've a platform (with all the things I do outside of work), and I ought to use it. Glad I am trying.

Started my 26 days of gratitude exercise as a way for me to document my break and, more importantly, actively find something positive in each day to note and remember.

Research has shown that it takes approximately 18 to 254 days for some to form a new habit. I don't think this is a habit yet, but I know it became easier after the first few days. Towards the end I did struggle a bit to avoid repeating the same answers.

But I guess that's the whole point. We have a lot to be grateful for. And I can safely say within this month I've probably gotten the most amount of kind words/care and support, in the last few years. Thanks ya'll for showing the love, especially when my dad was unwell. And thanks for sharing your own stories too.

We're on TV, specifically in a @channelnewsasia documentary!

Telling the story of one of our barbers @sunshinedancing a full-time food technologist who cuts hair for our migrant and elderly friends. Fun fact - while her mum is a professional hairstylist, Sam picked up the skills mostly by herself. Yours truly was featured as a mentor of sorts in the show.

What you didn't see is all of us trying to make these shoot a reality after months of scheduling and rescheduling due to the pandemic. So grateful to our partners @jtc_sg Moonlight Home, for offering their space. Great experience meeting people who actually made it a career helping people 24/7.

As the show described, we want to dispel the notion that Singapore/Singaporeans have no life. We want to show it's possible to do something interesting and helpful in our capacity #babysteps

First time ever visiting 🇱🇦
Pretty surreal seeing another side of Southeast Asia.
People are kind, and cool at the same time. I love it. They don't sugar coat stuff but learnt how to make the best of the situation. Very humbled by this experience. Much more to see hopefully soon.

Snippets from 🇵🇪 - saving grace when you’re down physically and emotionally.

Visiting the doctor made me realised that I shouldn’t wait for myself to be very sick. In fact, I’m the most sickly person over there with all the symptoms all over me. Doctor just asked me to rest and rest. This is an awakening call that I no longer fit.

3rd time here and we finally made it to the top. Guess they’re right, third time’s the charm.

Had a leg cramp halfway through and thankfully it eased off after a while. Moments like this remind me how alive I am and also how much more I need to take care of my body. Time to give it the attention it deserves and build something stronger.
