‘Life line’ until 25th October at ‘Glass is Biotiful V’
A beautifully curated glass biennale in the glass village Biot, in the south of France

‘L is for Lantern’
For Shifting Ground - a garden party, each designer was asked to create a ‘Lantern’

And I made ‘L is for Lantern’.
Three L-shaped transparent/partly iridescent on the inside were fused together. Forming a dome. This was placed on a vintage mirror

It was really a special show to be part of. An exciting event at Brussels design week 2026

Thanks again for all the effort and love put in this show by the curators @atelierpopi i @_beatrice_va @studio.minimetre 🫶

Recently I was a couple of weeks for a course learning how to work (threedimensionally) with pate de verre with the wonderful @taligrinshpan
Very happy with they she encouraged and allowed me to see where my curiosity could take me!

Pate de verre was new to me. It is a bit less fragile than imagined, so there are some exciting possibilities.

The presentation I called ‘my pate de verre playground’.
And that was really what it was

Hanging pieces and objects that could stand.
It started learning the basics, making 2D shapes that could slot together. Like puzzle pieces

Most pieces are still a combination of several pieces.

Thanks also to the great people I’ve met, one of the things that make Bildwerk a magical place

‘You are my putting the pieces together’

Connecting things, people and ideas is my purpose in life.

Therefore it is quite obvious why I am into melting coloured sheetglass into threedimensional objects. It is a journey into understanding more and more about colour, light and space and their interaction.

It always starts with puzzling with pieces. Thanks to experience, skill and chance the endresult is never the same.

Happy accidents happen; Sometimes it is even better than imagined. And sometimes it is questioning whether if the right pieces were put together. In the end it is best to be just happy with what is there.
