Happy Birthday, Dad!!!

Today I celebrate you, the man who gave me laughter when I needed it most, strength when I felt weak, and a sense of safety that wrapped around me like a shield. You had a way of making everyone smile, but your humor was something I cherished most. No matter how hard and scary life felt, you always found a way to lighten the moment and remind me not to take things too seriously.
With you, I always felt safe. Whether it was the sound of your voice, the way you carried yourself, or just knowing you were there, I never doubted I was protected and loved. That kind of comfort is rare, and it’s a gift I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
I miss your laugh, your stories, and the simple joy of being in your presence. But today, instead of focusing on the loss, I choose to celebrate the incredible father you were and the impact you’ll always have on my life.
Happy Birthday in Heaven, Dad. Thank you for being my protector, my teacher, my safe place, and my greatest source of laughter. I love you endlessly.

Last week @cayennewellness Educational Summit was everything it needed to be and more. Meeting colleagues that I hope to continue the journey of education and advocacy with. Hanging out with friends that I get to be myself with. You all inspire me, to do better, be better and strive for a space where warriors don’t always have to fight
