A gorgeous piece of 18th-century textile art, this hand-woven Verdure fragment brings so much warmth, history, and Old World charm to a room.
Woven from fine wool and silk yarns, it features rich forest greens, soft browns, sage, deep indigo blues, and muted cream tones. The scene captures a crested bird perched among leaves and flowers, with a quaint countryside chateau tucked into the background under a cloudy sky.
Originally part of a large estate tapestry, this fragment was professionally custom-framed by Sutton Place Frame Shop in New York City. Set in a warm gilt-wood frame with conservation-style backing, ready to hang over a sideboard, mantel, or entry console.
