Some very happy news… 🌼🐝

My painting “A Quiet Gathering” was accepted into the 2026 @wesselmanwoods juried art exhibition, “Petals, Pollen & Purpose!”

Making this piece was especially meaningful because it brought together a bunch of things I love: my handmade paper, bold color, native plants, and my little pollinator friends. ❤️

I learned this one the hard way. 💸

After some absolute failures, wasted paint (uuuuuuuuugh), and a lot of testing, I think I’ve finally figured out an excellent method of adapting @holbeinartistmaterials luminous paints to work in pans. And it’s not just rewettable, it comes back almost like you’re using it straight from the tube. ✨

Many of you have been asking about this, so watch to see what worked! 👀

Gladys is off on an adventure! 💕

I donated “Gladys Has New Boots” today for the first 2026 @in_rivercitypride Gayla silent auction, where she (and her fabulous rainbow worm pal) will find a new home while helping support the LGBTQ+ community.

If you’re heading to the event on September 17, keep an eye out for it! The painting is from my Little Friends series, and I’m so happy to send it along for such a good cause. 🌈

Terre Verte: PG23, PG17

I accidentally started making jewelry. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You know, I’m famous for my creative side quests, but I didn’t anticipate that making one hand-painted bead necklace for myself would turn into a whole thing. 😂 A few people saw me wearing it, asked for one of their own, and here we are. I’ve been deep in production mode and honestly just having the absolute best time coming up with designs.

Orders are filled, and I’ve made SIX more necklaces that will be dropping in my shop tomorrow. They’re one-of-a-kind little pieces of wearable art. I haven’t taken mine off for days! 🌈

My mailing list will get first dibs when they go live, so if you’ve been eyeing these in my stories, be sure to sign up! I won’t be making any more for a while (I gotta get back to paper, yo), so once these are gone, that’s it for now.

Swipe to the end to see how these came together!

It’s time for the next installment of my little series breaking down my custom palette by color family and sharing the paints I reach for most. And I dare you to keep Coldplay out of your head on this one, because it’s time for Yellows! 💛

All paints I’ve covered so far are listed in my Amazon storefront.

Let’s get back into my ugly sketchbook!

This round we have folk-art florals, nine cats with personalities, a page inspired by my soul kitty, a bowl that literally came to me in a dream, a group of weirdos with names, and some leftovers from those business cards of mine that went a little viral. 😂

Doing something a little different today! 🎨

@paulrubensart sent me this gorgeous Floral Watercolor Set, and opening new paints feels like the perfect excuse for story time. While I swatch all 24 colors, let me tell you about the most memorable art critique I ever experienced. 😳

It’s a longer one, so grab a snack and hang out with me!

If you’re interested in this set, it is in my Amazon storefront (link in bio).
