The other day I came across the photo at the end of this reel and got a little emotional. It was taken my senior year of high school. I had just won Best of Show in a regional exhibition. It was the first time I felt like a real artist.

In college I was living and breathing art while earning my BFA (where my night-owl creative habits began), but after graduating, life just kept getting louder. I built a design career I love, and painting took a back seat.

But the art never leaves you. I’m so happy I’ve made space for it again. I know that flannel-loving girl would approve, too.

Also… damn, I miss the 90s.

This one deserved a special reveal! 👋🏻

I honestly don’t even know how many hours went into this piece. 😂 It pushed me way outside my comfort zone, with more layers, more detail, more problem-solving, definitely more “did I ruin it?” moments… but I learned so much along the way.

Super proud to have completed this commission. Just delivered it to its new home today! 🎉
