Jimmy Butler gave his thoughts on Bams 83 point game in a recent Sirius XM radio interview saying,

“Good for him. 83 is a lot of points and he’s a crazy talented player. He can do everything incredibly well. Good for him. 83 is historic”

Since the trade Jimmy and Bam have really spoken publicly about each other or rlly ever acknowledged each other and now in the past few weeks both have gone out of there way to compliment the other. You gotta love it man. That era was special.

HEAT WIN!!! Heat go up to 3-1 in the preseason. Giannis was absolutely dominant tonight man. Holy cow. Heat shot 36% from 3 and guys like THJ and Portis played well. As well as Nick Richards, who I have been rlly impressed with this preseason. I expect this is the last time we see the regulars until next Wednesday season opener against the Wolves. Final preseason game is on Friday against the Magic. What did yall think Heat Nation 🔥???

UPDATE: Seems like Bill Simmons has had a Heat awakening. Says he’s taking the over on the Heat and thinks they should win 48-52 games if Giannis is healthy, and that he expects the defense to be top 5 (which he didn’t think before), said he thinks Miami is destined for at least one great Giannis season. Stay on that side Bill. What do you guys think Heat Nation 🔥?

LeBron had HIGH praise for the Heat roster when talking about them on his podcast with Steve Nash. It’s pretty clear LeBron knows this roster very well and had been keeping close tabs on the Heat all summer imo. Still think this was a better situation for him than Philly, but I think Bron just wanted to live in New York tbh. What do you guys think Heat Nation 🔥?

Former Bucks Head Coach Doc Rivers gave his thoughts on Giannis and the new look Heat saying,

“I look at Miami and I look at Spo and Bam and Giannis, I mean, that’s a hell of a Big Three.”

Every person you sign has to be the right person. And if I was going to pick anybody to do that, Pat Riley and Spo would be at the top of the list.”

What do you guys think of what Doc had to say?

Miami has finished in the bottom 10 for restricted-area attempts in five straight seasons, while Giannis led the league in made baskets from that area in each of those years. He addresses a fairly specific weakness, and he should also improve what the Heat get from running. Last season, they ranked second in transition frequency but 24th in efficiency, so there were already plenty of opportunities before the defense got set.

The half-court fit with Bam Adebayo takes more work. Bam’s passing gives Spoelstra options through handoffs and screening, but opponents will try to crowd the paint whenever they can help off the perimeter. Klay Thompson and Tim Hardaway Jr. should give those defenders more reason to stay attached. Klay still drew considerable defensive attention last season despite posting the lowest three-point percentage of his career, though Miami will need enough actual makes to support the spacing his reputation provides.

The lack of a traditional lead creator also changes what Miami needs from its passing. Last season’s team ranked fourth in passes per game and second in hockey assists, the pass before the assist. Those numbers come from a substantially different rotation, with Tyler Herro and Norman Powell now gone. Giannis can force the first rotation, but the players receiving his passes need to shoot, drive or move the ball quickly enough to prevent the defense from recovering. Keeping that process working during his rest minutes looks more difficult.

The offseason grades out at B, with the model projecting roughly 45 wins. Miami gave up a lot of its supporting talent to acquire Giannis, so a larger role for Pelle Larsson or Nikola Jovic would help cover some of those losses. Giannis’s availability creates considerable uncertainty around the projection, while the closing lineups will depend on which shooters can hold up defensively alongside him and Bam.

Heat lose a tight one, falling 125-124 to the Minnesota Timberwolves in preseason action. Really fun game.

With Miami resting its regulars, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins and several other veterans, the younger players got an extended opportunity to showcase themselves. Heat now 2-1 in the preseason. Really good showings from Conwell, Jovic, Goldin, and Gardner. What did you think Heat Nation 🔥?

Giannis is always in MVP mode 😤

Giannis looking comfortable in Miami is one thing, but adjusting to a new system with this roster is a whole different ballgame!

What are your expectations for Giannis & the Heat?

Giannis has been hooping through his first two games as a Heatle. Hes averaging

13.5 PPG
5.5 APG
4.0 REB
In 16 minutes of playing time.

It’s gonna take some time to get used to him wearing the Heat jersey. What have been your first impressions of him through two preseason games so far Heat Nation 🔥??

Heat Win!!!! Heat start off 2-0 in the preseason. This team is gonna be so much fun man. Giannis is automatic in transition and the Pelicans seemed to be playing him single coverage for most the time he was on the floor which is a mistake. Wiggins to me is the swing piece on this team. I think he’s destined for a great year! What were your takeaways Heat Natjon 🔥??
