Last week, circumstances within Heavy Temple changed very quickly, and we’ve made the hard decision to step off of our upcoming tour. The shows are still happening, and we hope you’ll still be there.

We committed to these dates in good faith and never could have anticipated how things would unfold. We immediately started looking for a way to make it work, but with the tour this close, we couldn’t put together a properly prepared lineup for the full run. We held off on announcing while we explored every possible way to make it work, but ultimately we had to call it.

In the meantime, Brenna from @crystalspiders_ and Amos from Essential Live Music have worked incredibly hard with the clubs and support acts to keep these shows moving forward. As a silver lining, @mean_green_metal from Boone, NC will be joining Crystal Spiders from 10/2 through 10/8, and @iratalive will be jumping in for the Indianapolis and Grand Rapids shows. Both bands have just released new albums, so please check them out. We’re genuinely grateful for everything Brenna and Amos have done to make this as painless as possible for everyone involved.

In the entire history of Heavy Temple, we have never canceled a tour or a show. This fucking sucks, but we’d rather make the hard call now than get onstage knowing we can’t give you the Heavy Temple show you deserve.

We know this affects Crystal Spiders, the other bands, venues, promoters, festivals, and everyone who made plans around these dates. We’re truly sorry. Please go see Crystal Spiders and the bands stepping in. We know you’ll give them the support you would have given us.

We’ll be back on the road soon enough. Our live album ‘Live From the Inner Sanctum’ out 10/9 via Magnetic Eye Records by @heavytemple

Our own HEAVY TEMPLE have dropped a first single and live footage video for the song "Key and Bone (Live)" taken from their upcoming digital release 'Live from the Inner Sanctum' 🎸😎 The track is streaming everywhere now, and the full live album from our favorite heavy psych rockers is slated for release on October 9, 2026.

High Priestess Nighthawk says, "Key and Bone" was the first song I ever wrote, and we've never updated it to reflect how we play it now, so I thought it was time for a little glow-up. The last two minutes are still one of my favorite parts of the set all these years later, and it's great fun to hear the song as it exists in its current form."

Be sure to catch HEAVY TEMPLE live this October, where they'll celebrate their new live record with a string of shows including stops at two awesome fests:

02 OCT 2026 Philadelphia, PA (US) Nikki Lopez
03 OCT 2026 IN THE KEY OF DOOM, NY (US)
04 OCT 2026 Cambridge, MA (US) Middle East
06 OCT 2026 Washington, D.C. (US) Pie Shop
07 OCT 2026 Cleveland, OH (US) No Class
08 OCT 2026 Lexington, KY (US) Al's Bar
09 OCT 2026 Indianapolis, IN (US) The 808
10 OCT 2026 Grand Rapids, MI (US) Grand Rapids Doom Fest
11 OCT 2026 Chicago, IL (US) Reggies by @heavytemple

🚨 New Episode 🚨

Rich & Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E49) – Heavy Temple & Crystal Spiders

A first for @richandturbosheavyhalfhour (S3E49), as two of our favorite bands join the show. Both Brenna from @crystalspiders_ and Nighthawk from @heavytemple chat with me about a whole bunch of things, but mostly their joint Crystal Temple Tour happening this October, including a stop at our friend @d00mchurch amazing Grand Rapids Doom Fest. We cover so much ground about both bands, like DIY ethos, touring, how great @anusrippin is, and so much more. I use the word interview loosely here, as we just all talk a lot about whatever. This was one of my favorite shows ever (my face still hurts from laughing) so please listen and go see the bands if they are anywhere near you in October!!!
