🚨NEW EPISODE🚨Today on The Heavy Desert Podcast, I welcome Brenna Leath of Crystal Spiders & High Priestess Nighthawk of Heavy Temple. At the time of the recording they were set to go on tour together starting October 2nd, but unfortunately, Heavy Temple had to bow out. But I had such an incredible chat with them, I couldn’t just sit on it! We dig into their influences to the backstory of the bands. We even talk a little horror and Nighthawks recent trip to Tomahawk show, and so much more! I had a blast talking to these lovely ladies and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Tune in and subscribe!

“Key and Bone (Live)” is out now.

I played drums on this one and also had the opportunity to produce and mix the entire live record, Live From The Inner Sanctum. I also edited the video for “Key and Bone.”

This was my first time taking on a project like this from start to finish, and I learned a shit ton along the way. Really happy with how the record turned out and excited to finally start sharing it.

Live From The Inner Sanctum out October 9 via Magnetic Eye Records.

Our own HEAVY TEMPLE have dropped a first single and live footage video for the song "Key and Bone (Live)" taken from their upcoming digital release 'Live from the Inner Sanctum' 🎸😎 The track is streaming everywhere now, and the full live album from our favorite heavy psych rockers is slated for release on October 9, 2026.

High Priestess Nighthawk says, "Key and Bone" was the first song I ever wrote, and we've never updated it to reflect how we play it now, so I thought it was time for a little glow-up. The last two minutes are still one of my favorite parts of the set all these years later, and it's great fun to hear the song as it exists in its current form."

Be sure to catch HEAVY TEMPLE live this October, where they'll celebrate their new live record with a string of shows including stops at two awesome fests:

02 OCT 2026 Philadelphia, PA (US) Nikki Lopez
03 OCT 2026 IN THE KEY OF DOOM, NY (US)
