"Rousing soul sermons with north eastern heart"...
New album 'The Great Shakedown' out 23/OCT 👇

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hallo,

Really happy to share this with you. A special moment from our night at The Pitman's Parliament in July - Here's The Mother Tongue - with Durham Miners' Association Brass Band, Live at Redhills, Durham Miners' Hall.
-
I don't mind telling you, I was fighting to hold it together here. It's a deeply personal song of love & loss, friendship & family (many of whom were in the room). That sentiment, with that accompaniment, in that venue had me feeling a little overwhelmed to say the least.

I just want to thank @durhambrass, @redhillsdurham and @durham_minersbrassband for welcoming us and our music into their world. Thanks to me best mates (on & off stage) and everyone in the audience for joining us and making it an unforgettable experience. X

Morning. 🍂 Leaves on the trees are fallin', so here's a bit of Van the Man to usher in the season. Got a big week ahead, but Sundays were made to be still. Thanks for all the kind words about The Great Shakedown, can't wait for you to hear the whole album! On that note, took delivery of something special yesterday. Keep toot, speak soon. X
