INSIDE EVERESTING AT ELS ANGELS

Els Angels — legendary cycling climb near Girona. One September day, 12 girls decided to take on the Everesting challenge there: 27 climbs up and down

How was it? Kate @babmenton tells us her Everesting story. Full of life, challenges, joy, and people who believe in each other

This Everesting was called One More Climb and led by @milliegibbons, with support @maap @maaprides. We loved this simple idea: how far can you get if you keep telling yourself to do just one more?

6 YEARS IN FETHIYE

Before our October camp, where we’re waiting for you all, we remembered our amazing years in Fethiye. Years that made this place a truly home for us. Not enough words to describe, not enough photos to show, but here is a bit of Hedonism Turkish story

Tag yourself if you were there with us, in this beautiful place, any of these years

After our first Turkish camp in Alanya in 2020, we decided to discover Fethiye region and realized that we had found the perfect place

...and made our first camp here in February 2021

Two spring camps, five in autumn — still our record year here

First time in Ölüdeniz with its turquoise waters. First climb to Babadağ. First picnics on the peninsula. Very quiet streets after the pandemic, and the feeling that we were opening up a new world for cycling lovers — which is exactly what happened

Two more camps in Fethiye, and this year we also explored Antalya and Marmaris

For the first time, we left our home hill in Ölüdeniz and stayed in villas in Çiftlik instead — down by the water, at sea level, more comfortable especially for beginner riders. Part of our team moved to Fethiye that year — and helped make it home for many people

Since 2021, we’ve had special parties at every camp, and in 2022, we organised a daytime pool party instead of an evening one

Three camps in Fethiye, but also one in Datça and Marmaris — we always love discovering new places and seeing different sides of the country

In 2023, we especially loved the big mountain route over Kirme Pass, and also discovered San Sebastian cheesecakes and regularly had them in Göcek. Mountains and carbs — that’s what we’re masters in. This year, we also shot the short film about Hedonism Cycling – watch it on YouTube

Two camps in Fethiye (and one in Bodrum)

Explored gravel for the future camps and organized social rides for everyone. Fell in love with the route to Lake Köyceğiz. Our ride leader started making his own pizza for special dinners, we started baking our own cheesecakes. Together with our Hedonism Captain Dasha, we rented a catamaran — with a bike trainer on board

Japan Touring is over, but pics are not

This was our third trip to Japan, and this time we wanted to see another side of country — small towns, islands, days by the sea, fishing villages and peaceful roads

We always ask ourselves how to make a touring camp not boring and experience different contrasts. We remembered the famous Shimanami Kaido with its islands and decided to include it in our journey. At the same time, we wanted to combine city culture with the quietness of nature

That’s why our touring started in Wakayama, port town not far from Osaka, then took us through the large island of Shikoku, where we probably felt the strongest connection with Japanese culture. In Shikoku, we stayed in a fishing village with almost no tourists, then joined the Shimanami Kaido and continued all the way to Hiroshima

After Hiroshima, we returned to Osaka to discover big city life again, where you can barely tell where the sky ends and the ground begins

That contrast is exactly what made us choose this route. That contrast showed us a Japan in its truest variety

Never stop exploring

Japan is a country we keep coming back to with remarkable regularity. Right now, we’re wrapping up our camp, and I have a lot to say

There’s probably no need to talk too much about the locations — Shikoku Island, the Shimanami Kaido, and Hiroshima. Every cyclist should ride this route at least once in their lifetime

The people around us always create a special atmosphere. Tens of thousands of kilometers away from home, we find shared topics, mutual connections, and build new, meaningful relationships

Sharing everyday life with strangers is fascinating. Watching their habits, their behavior, their way of thinking. You always take something new from every conversation, absorb different life flows, and piece together your own personality like a puzzle

Travel is the perfect backdrop for this kind of exploration. Explore the world around you — and each other

First days of Japan touring

This is our third camp in Japan, and it’s only now that the country has truly opened up to us in all its colours. Though that usually means it’s about to surprise us even more

We don’t do touring camps often, but every time, it’s turn into something unforgettable. In just five days, we’ve already:
– take a local ferry from the mainland to the islands
– cross Shikoku through several prefectures, following the 88 Temple Pilgrimage route
– learn to make authentic Japanese udon
– see monkeys, deer, crabs and squid in their natural habitats
– catch our first fish
– swim in the sea (two times)
– visit the world-famous onsen that inspired Miyazaki
– get soaked in the rain and sunbathe

And we’re only halfway through the camp! More to come

Turkish season starts soon

Every camp is about new kilometres, views and experiences. But it’s also about friendship, fun and warmth. That feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be. Don’t forget about this part of you. It needs attention as well as your inner athlete
