October is fully packed!📚🫶🍁 it's gonna be a busy month and my tbr is overloaded af 😭

I'm in the middle of Dreams of Dust ✨ and So So excited about Trust Fall & In her own league (i haven't even read windy City series yet 😭) I Knowwww don't come at me.

SO MANY BOOKS, i don't even have many hopefuls for October. I'll just read Wild Reverence which I put on hold if I get time because ik I'm gonna be so obsessed with it. That's why I have to fulfill my commitments first 🤭🫠

What are you reading currently? I can still add more to be TBR 🙃

It was a lazy yet fulfilling september 🙃🍁

Did your September have some good reads/shoes?

I read 4 books, and 3 of them have fake dating in it 😂 and one of them is dystopian 🙃

I think the best out of these was Fake Skating by Lynn Painter ✨⛸️🍒

I usually don't re-watch but this month was nostalgic me making decisions. And these are one of my favs

-Crash landing on you 💜 (A chaebol heiress ends up in north korea due to an accident and falls in love with a north korean soldier who's trying to send her back) This is such an amazing drama 😭 full of laughter, aesthetic scenes, precious friendships, and yearning. I am in love with the OST again 💗 I love the part when he and his comrades come to South Korea to save her. I love her personality so much. And I need a Ri Jeong Hyeok 😭 The Best Part? They are married irl. And the second couple was so good too 🥹

- Love game in Eastern Fantasy (Chinese fantasy drama where she transmigrates into a game world where she keeps getting killed by the villain and her mission is to increase his favorability to 100 percent. Make him fall in love 😂 it's really fun to watch their dynamic. 🫶

-Twinkling Watermelon 🍉 ( An 18 year old boy who's a CODA goes back in time when his parents were his age) I think no other highschool drama can top this one. Genuinely. It's just MORE.
It's too cute, too funny, too lovable. I'm emotionally attached to each character and specially the father son dynamic. Man was literally parenting his parents 😭 How cool to be in the band with his dad and change his parents future while also bagging a baddie, lol 🩷

The legend of the female general was soo good. I love it when both leads are badass generals. ✨

The love hypothesis movie really brought Adam and Olive to life, but as a book reader I just wanted it to me MORE yk...😭 My fav part tho was the female friendship 🫶

I can't wait to hop into book 2 🪻 by @heer_chapters

Fake Skating is officially by Fav Lynn Painter YA Book 💗⛸️

I already love sports romances, so yes, another hockey romance had me seated immediately hehe. But the CHEMISTRY?? Dani and Alec had me in a chokehold. 😭🩵

Childhood sweethearts is a trope I never much loved, but this book completely changed my mind✨
Dani comes back to Minnesota deep down holding onto the idea that somewhere out there, her childhood best friend still exists. But seeing Alec again she realised he was NOTHING like she remembered. 🥹

Because teenage Alec? The Hockey Star. He hated her. Or at least he really wanted to. Because despite everything, he just couldn't stay away from her. 🤭

And THE LOCKER SCENE! When their necklaces get tangled and somehow leads to the fake dating?? AAAAH. It never felt fake for even a second. Not to them, and definitely not to me. 😭

Also, the way both her grandpa and Alec call her “Danigirl”??? My heart🥹💗 And Alec being obsessed with the tiniest details—her cherry lip gloss, her perfume, her blond hair was ridiculously adorable. 🍒🙃

I LOVED her grandpa, absolutely despised her manipulative dad (THE LETTERS 😭) Their friend group made me wanna be a part of it 🥹🤌

Ice Hockey + childhood sweethearts + fake dating + insane chemistry = I’m sold. 🏒💌

The Amber Sunburst by @alizeh.abulail.author ARC Review 🧡

4.25 ⭐

An exiled prince, a dying star, a wasted priestess, a silent musician, a defiant sister, and a plummeting Icarus find each other through the cracks of a 'perfect' society. ☀️

Kallipolis is a utopia built on a lie. Hidden from the post-apocalyptic world outside its walls, the Republic has spent five hundred years perfecting itself according to the teachings of Plato - or so its people believe. Alexander knows better. He doesn't belong in the Republic, and he needs to get out - before the Trials, before the Educator discovers who he really is, and before he falls completely in love with a boy who was never meant to leave. This is a story about the people who see through the illusion of a utopia - and the ones who burn it down.

----

I LOVED the book and the characters 💗 The world was a unique blend of ancient Greece and mordern technology with some fantasy elements. And I loved how we had POV's of all Six main characters 🤭 It pulled me in from the very beginning. And I started searching for plato's theory as well which I previously had no clue about lol🙃

It was an interesting and fun read for me and I'm definitely looking forward to the 2nd book. Hoping more romance would follow, especially for Lazarus and Ophelia 🧡 I need them to be a couple so bad. It's really a slow burn dammnn 😭

The main reason this wasn’t a 5 ⭐ for me is that I wish there had been more romance. The chemistry was definitely there, but it didn’t quite reach off the charts levels for me. Although honestly… Alexander and Kallias had the BEST chemistry. ❤️‍🔥

I also wish the trials had been more prominent and better detailed. I wanted MORE from them. More depth, more challenges, and honestly just for them to be a little more exciting and immersive.

I hope the next book is better because I can't wait to read more about what happens to these characters. 🩷

P.s The Art is by the Author 🫶 it's so beautiful ✨

Swipe —> to read more about the characters...
