Taking a moment this Sunday morning to look back on the flowers I sent out into the world this week. Including some beautiful civil ceremony bunches.

I’ve been sowing seeds for the next season and am happy to say Occassion flowers can be booked now for 2027. Im also taking bookings for DIY Civil Ceremony, Wedding or event flowers. These come as bountiful buckets of blooms and foliage for you to design with as you like and can be ordered on their own or alongside the occasion bunches which I create for you.

Any questions DM me here or email me on heldflowers@gmail.com

Seed saving on a sunny Saturday in the countryside. I’m learning and teaching simultaneously and looking forward to future seasons.

I’ll be back to bunching bouquets and picking buckets of foliage this week; pick some up from LUSH and @locavorecic or DM me for orders.

Former council houses like mine may not be the most likely location for flower photo shoots but this landing is where I bunch most of my bouquets and organise my buckets these days. Accompanied by a coup of cheap and cheery bubbles, a pair of good snips and some tight stem lists and I’m finding the summer evenings from here almost picturesque.

This week has seen the usual wholesale orders and some beautiful blooms for a wedding this evening. Held Flowers are off to @lovavorecic today, find them there or DM me for next week.

Better late than never is my maxim these days. My sweet peas are only just coming in properly now; it’s been a slow start to many things for me this year. And still, they’re so welcome and so wanted whenever they make their appearance; my forever favourite of all flowers.

Among this summer’s other late-comers are my dahlias. All finally in after much fear and faff and I am unsurprisingly thrilled if not a little shy about admitting it (as you can see). I’m not expecting many flowers from them but at least I won’t have killed 90% of them this year!

With all of life’s challenges this year, I am having to accept that I just can’t do everything ‘on time’ right now.

Alongside all the activity on the plot I’ve taken the week to be with my family. Bunches of are by DM only this week.

Dragon cress.

These scorching summer days have benefitted the fiery I suppose… and this dragon cress is looking lovely this morning. It’s a more airy and delicate cress compared to other varieties of cress and it is even lovelier in real life.

DM me for all individual orders and wholesale orders as well.

School’s out for summer and my eldest is gifting these blooms to her beloved teachers this year.

Here’s hoping you’ll pick up a summery bouquet like these via dm or at your Loca(L)vore on Vicky Road.

Wishing you all well (with lots of water!) for the start of this vacation season.
