That is the flower harvest finished for this week.. and I have never seen so many bumble bees in my entire life (in one place), in amongst the marjoram today🪻🐝💞✨!!

the feasting & celebration of occasion continued at the bakery last night … as the fullness of the blue super moon was obscured by thick glasgow cloud the bakery resisted the august weather revelling in the green of summer & her local bounty /

@rubyyymac of @inverrestaurant & @aaronetcetc of @timberyard10 have both spent time in the bakery previously learning the shaping of bread, folding of doughs & play of a bake schedule,.. last night they took the reigns in a collaborative supper which evoked all the goodness of a scottish summer plate : ajo blanco with glasgow cucumber, curds kale & courgette, girolles with corn & emmer & a @the.veggie.patch garden platter 💚 ,… an absolute pleasure to host these pals and enjoy their creative cooking & kitchen play : total heroes /

Morning folks!

A wee note to say that Locavore Flowers is not running this year but Meg (who was half the team in 2023 and is hiding in the tulips in photo 2) has taken it over to run as @held.flowers

The flowers will still be grown locally and organically, supplied to the shops and be based at the same site but done outwith Locavore.

Head over to HELD for flower news, direct orders, to chat about working with me on an events. Also to join my florists mailing list which will have information on when the mixed buckets are ready and what’s in them each week.

In flower news it’s delivery day for the Govanhill and Partick Locavore shops. There’s only a few bunches going to each shop so be quick if you don’t want to be disappointed.

This week there was even a couple of everyone’s favourite flower ready - peonies!

Balance has been on my mind recently, especially with the spring equinox being just behind us.

Balancing time at the plot, another job and family life. Working to improve balance in my mind and body. The changing balance of light and dark as the days lengthen again. Balancing full wheelbarrows as I’m slowly clearing the unused corners of the site.

Feeling very lucky to have been working through these thoughts and feeling with @triciamurrayuk ~ @plants_and_colour ~ @studio70glasgow ~ @pigmentplantdyes ~ thanks for all you wise words, listening ears and pre/post plot movement instructions 💚
