TRADITIONAL ARTS & CULTURE FUND

Round 2 is open for applications from artists, community groups and grassroots organisations for small #grants of up to £1,200 to support the creation, performance, touring and showcasing of #traditional arts and #crafts in #Scotland, as well as to develop professional skills and learning opportunities.

This year, traditional crafts are included in the fund alongside traditional music, song, storytelling and dance. Thank you #TRACS for inviting me to join the panel of traditional arts and craft specialists to decide on the awards.

Culture Calling - a Cultural Partnership for Dumfries and Galloway

Returning to #DumfriesAndGalloway to produce the #CultureCalling event bringing together the region’s #arts and #heritage sector to explore topics and priorities identified in Dumfries and Galloway’s #CulturalStrategy 2022-2030.

Delighted to be working again alongside @wheelakat, wearing her Dumfries and Galloway Cultural Partnership Chair hat, and supporting the #DGCP founding partners @dg_unlimited1 @dumfries_and_galloway_council @sosenterprise_ and Dumfries and Galloway Museums and Heritage Network.

I hope to see some familiar faces (@upland_cic, @springfling, @oldschoolthornhill, @coulsontennant, @fitchandmcandrew, @campleline, @william.spurway, #SolwayHouseStudios, @rbcfilmtheatre, @wigtownbookfest, @stovenetwork) at the event and make new connections (already happening with #CarnoMedia and @purpleboxproductions!).

It’s @heritagecrafts Members’ Month!

April 2025 is a busy month for #HeritageCrafts Members. Online sessions will consider #funding and #insurance, with in person events including a tour of the ‘Young Maker’ #exhibition @newbreweryarts and a pizza social in #Cardiff (if only I was nearer!).

As a volunteer Co-Coordinator of Heritage Crafts’ Scotland Regional Members Group, it would be great to see members in #Scotland at events this month, chat with you in our What’s App community and featured in the ‘Members’ Showcase 2025’ (submissions to be emailed to @elizabeth.bizz.fretty by 28 April 2025!).
