The 6-week ‘Boost Your Business’ Course is a focussed opportunity for #makers living & working in #Scotland to systematically think about how to take their #business to the next level. Centred around AAS’s Craft Toolkit, the Course is for makers who want to:

🔸make a start on their new business
🔸explore a new strand to their existing business
🔸pivot their current business

Perhaps you have one key creative, professional or business challenge or a number of different parts of your practice that you are trying to align. Whatever your specific needs, ‘Boost Your Business’ will help you with guided sessions using the Craft Toolkit’s 5 modules & 13 exercises. You’ll explore & create a simple plan to help you consider your values & goals, & use this as the foundation to establish, diversify, consolidate or expand your business. And the planning tools we introduce will also be useful in the months & years to come.

Looking back at our time in the Tanween program, it was easily one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had — both as designers and as people. We’re so grateful for our Tanween team and everyone who made this journey so special.

In 3 years time I would complete 20 years of working as Founder and Director of Tashkeel. I have had the privilege of working on projects that have shaped creatives in the UAE through the projects and the studios at Tashkeel, giving them a place to create and build up their skills to a point where they take the leap of faith and setup their own art or design studios. I've got the chance to meet the majority of the people in the industry which puts me at the forefront of understand the needs and the gaps in the market, which gives me a chance to think ahead and create studios to be able to fill the needs and to sustain and drive a creative community for the future. One that stands firmly on the ground of supporting one another through critical discussion's and experimentation. It's been almost 20 years and I'm still as excited as when I started @tashkeelstudio in 2008. Looking forward to launching the new chapter soon. Everyday is a new beginning.
في غضون ثلاث سنوات، سأكمل 20 عامًا من العمل كمؤسس ومدير تشكيل. لقد حظيت بشرف العمل على مشاريع شكلت المبدعين في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة من خلال المشاريع والاستوديوهات في تشكيل، مما منحهم مكانًا للإبداع وبناء مهاراتهم إلى حد أنهم اتخذوا خطوة لإنشاء استوديوهات الفن أو التصميم الخاصة بهم. لقد أتيحت لي الفرصة لمقابلة غالبية الأشخاص في هذا المجال مما يضعني في طليعة فهم الاحتياجات والفجوات في السوق، مما يمنحني فرصة للتفكير في مشاريع المستقبل وإنشاء استوديوهات لتكون قادرة على تلبية الاحتياجات ودعم وقيادة مجتمع إبداعي. مجتمع يقف بثبات على أرض دعم بعضنا البعض من خلال المناقشات النقدية والتجارب. لقد مر ما يقرب من 20 عامًا وما زلت متحمسة كما كنت عندما بدأت تشكيل في عام 2008. أتطلع إلى إطلاق الفصل الجديد قريبًا. كل يوم بداية جديدة.
