Very excited to share some recent embroidery for the magical @john_booth 💘
John was asked to contribute to ‘MERRY CHAIR GO ROUND’ at @d.o.n.u.t._x_you
The gallery asked artists and designers for fabrics to upholster beautiful refurbished versions of Yrjo Kukkapuro’s chair A-504. @livelikeakukkapuro
John and I worked together to embroider two of his beautiful illustrations onto heavy canvas, to be upholstered.

Embroidery and design consultancy by meee :)

Working with John, an artist I really admire, is an absolute joy, our joint obsession with colour and texture comes together to make something really special

Lately 💘 Slipping from one season to another 🌚

Cadaqués, 🌞 with my best friends, to end a very busy September. Calm and inspiration, a visit to Dali’s home.

London for the start of October 🍂 colours changing around me and settling into a slightly different rhythm. A very transitional time, finishing some big projects and feeling very excited to have some time to draw and create new embroideries 💙

H.507 collection includes a series of incredible embroidered patches designed and embroidered by @hello.ludio

With imagery inspired by sea creatures and coastlines plants the patches really complete the collection.

The patches are available as stand alone pieces of artwork that you can from or sew onto treasured items of clothing. They can also be added to many of my knit pieces as seen here. by @hello.ludio

A Ludio repair on a gorgeous vintage dress ♥️

When I found this special vintage piece I had to snap it up even though it as covered with holes and stains, I knew I could work some embroidery magic and cover them and give it new life.

Also LC are my initials 💔 I wonder who sewed them and wore this many, many years ago

I chopped off the bottom that was too damaged to repair and then set to work covering up all the blemishes. I used mainly cross stitch, for the dove, the lions and the heart boxes. Then added to some areas with simple hand stitch to add some nice contrast.

I kept the embroidery red to match the beautiful hand embroidered flowers 🥀

I love re working vintage pieces so much 🪡
I would guess this piece is over 100 years old, I cannot wait to proudly wear it ♥️

Beautiful August 💙🩷

Special time spent in Cornwall, bluest skies, pinkest suns, pottering around over rocks and playing in rock pools with my Big Dog 💘

The magical light of the solar eclipse and the feeling of people coming together 💕

In the words of Dolly ‘Find out who you are and do it on purpose’. Cornwall connects me with the deepest parts of myself and frees me.
Whilst I’m nervous about the changing season, waking up to a much darker light this morning, I will fill my autumn and winter making and creating, what a joy and honour that is.

🌜🌞 Sampling some new Ludio pieces 🪡 to guide us gently out of the beautiful long, warm summer and into cosy, soft Autumn.

I needed to focus some of my creativity on something new, so I spent a day drawing and playing around and made this sun and moon 💛 My thoughts are full of enjoying the last of the summer sun and that special August light 💛
