The design of the hotel was one of my favourite parts of this stay. There was a touch of sophistication and attention to detail that some of the other properties had trouble nailing. There were still crazy colours and patterns (and so many mirror panels in the bathroom as usual lol) but things felt more cohesive overall.

Honestly, if the seats were more comfortable, it would have made a huge difference. I really don’t know if my seat was supposed to make my butt bones hurt by the end or what since I couldn’t really compare it to another one on the aircraft lol.

Spent just 1 night in NYC to run banking errands and to use some dining credits at the same time, so it was nice to be able to access a sauna between walking around all day. Also bonus that it was @mynameisdmoon ’s birthday weekend!

He’s definitely the “don’t touch me when it’s hot” one in the relationship 🥺

The same temp feels different in the shade by the pool in Mexico vs. in the streets of Italy where it feels like the buildings and the ground are literally emanating heat and we’re walking in the sun 🥵 and you know it’s bad when I don’t have to pee every 30 min like I usually do.

Nothing beats Singapore tho.

We don’t have many amazing options in Toronto compared to the rest of the world, but @fstoronto definitely stood out from the rest.

Only dropped by for a day for a small anniversary celebration (well, in addition to our Antigua trip lol). Can’t wait to come back one day!

Caught myself leaving a French sit-down restaurant yesterday saying “wow that’s not bad!” because it would’ve cost more in Toronto with tax and tip probably 🫩 The cost of apartments in the “rich” area of Lyon seemed AFFORDABLE for the size?!?

I remember growing up, the general idea was that Europe (think countries like France and Italy) was suuuuper expensive, especially the food. Even when I was travelling around over a decade ago, it felt pretty steep compared to Canada. What happened 😭😭😭

How much we paid and more👇⁣⁣

Going to an all-inclusive resort of this calibre means preparing your stomach for a week of constant eating. The food was consistently amazing throughout the entire stay and I came back a few pounds heavier with no regrets.

The service is not at the same calibre as other luxury properties that we stayed at (like in the Maldives), they were a little rough around the edge, gave conflicting information at times between staff members, the binder in the room wasn’t fully updated, orders were forgotten a couple of times… but the overall atmosphere was friendly and the staff seemed more genuine and nice to talk to in comparison. They are going through a lot of changes at the moment so I don’t blame them, but it will be great to see improvements when we return next year.

Do. Not. Skip. Bug. Spray. Mosquitoes were plentiful BUT the worst offenders are the sandflies, which ate us alive.

Some tips:
⭐️ There are prices on the menus for off-property guests but everything is included. Premium options with additional costs are clearly indicated.
⭐️ Minimum 3-night stay to get included airport transfer to resort and VIP security line to bypass the crowd.
⭐️ Highly recommend getting the jerk chicken wings for snacks, we loved having them by the pool between meals.
⭐️ Sushi Happy Hour is 4:30-5:30pm. Get to the sushi bar around 4:20pm to snag seats because it can get filled up quickly sometimes. You can also go near the end. They usually rotate between 5 types of fish, 4 are local.
⭐️ Possibly due to the drought or maybe they just run out quickly, whole coconuts are regularly “sold out” and seem to be restocked on Wednesdays
⭐️ They have dinner at La Petite Maison on the weekends as a pop-up, and at their main restaurant during the week

How much we paid:
💳 750,000 HH points for 6 nights (5th night free)
💰 $1,800CAD for 260,000 Hilton Honors points (bought during 100% bonus promo)
