The beauty of this whole hat thing is that we always get to try something new. Each hat is a one-of-a-kind response to “what if we tried this?” There isn’t a color story we HAVE to work within… There aren’t rigid production rules. Just some experimenting with fabrics and thread that result in a cute little vignette like these 3 here.

And then the hats find their people.

Monday Meet the Maker(s) it’s @hello.sarika

Sarika is a three women-run artist collective (Sarah, Sara, and Erika), creating unique trucker and baseball hats featuring original hand-sewn art patches. Every hat is one of a kind; designed and assembled by hand.
The trio has been friends since high school, with Sarah and Sara’s friendship dating back to kindergarten! All have BFA degrees in painting. Sarah works at a non profit, Sara is a commercial and editorial photographer, and Erika works at MPS central office serving the Montessori schools. Sarika was born in the summer of 2025, and it’s been an adventure of creativity and fun for them ever since.

This was our annual hat-making trip in Princeton, WI. With lots of hard work and focus we got some cute ones out of it! Come visit us on Tuesday 9/8 at Chill on the Hill to see!
