I remember showing this 2 bedroom condo a year after I got into real estate. I thought it was cute then. I still think it's cute now! The perfect first home that needs nothing but your own personal touch.

My clients were able to snag this home after it had been on the market unclaimed for 90 days. We bought this for close to the pre reno price back when it was listed in 2022.

Since then it's had a really nice glow up with stainless steel appliances, oak laminate flooring, a quartz countertop, new cabinetry, a fresh coat of paint & those old school popcorn ceilings removed.

Can you believe this weekend is already August? That means we have 6 weekends before Labour Day.

While we wait for the July stats to post, June proved to be a stronger month. Demand seems to be slowly picking up while prices stay somewhat flat.

This month, for the 6th consecutive announcement this year, the Bank of Canada also held interest rates steady. The overnight policy rate remains at 2.25%.

Typically summers are often slower in real estate. People go on vacation, they're enjoying the longer days & better weather. They're focus is usually somewhere else. But this summer doesn't feel all that typical.

Are you noticing any positive signs of economic shift?

It's been a tough few years but, gauging from the number of shoes at an open house, I remain hopeful.

I just got back from a two week vacation & it felt like a lot happened in that time.

> I was able to show my son some of my favourite places in the world. To be able to create memories like this together helps fuel my every day.

> I watched France win & I watched France sadly lose in the World Cup both in Paris.

> I sold a beautiful garden home & helped move a young couple into another. Shout out to @meganjoannemeth @604gorman & @coreymartin604 for supporting while I was out of town!

> But I also had 2 deals fall through. It was unfortunately out of our control but still felt emotional nonetheless.

While I was traveling, I still stayed close to my phone & close to my clients. It meant rising with the sun & staying up late when you're 9 hours apart.

This job comes with lots of rewards but it also comes with a commitment & a promise. People put their trust in you with the biggest move of their lives.... that is not something I take for granted even a continent away.

To be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm really behind on my posting but I'm so happy for a first time buyer that gets to call this 2 bedroom + den off The Drive home very soon.

We'd been searching for a few months. When this popped up she knew it was somewhere she could see herself living.

After digging through the strata documents, we realized the building is about to welcome new piping. For the price & location, we weighed our pros & cons, & felt this was a compromise worth making.

Don't let all strata projects scare you. If the building has an intentional approach with owners that care, it may be an opportunity - not a problem. I am a mother. A proud single mother.

From early on I realized motherhood does not come with a manual. There’s no warranty, no perfect answers, no roadmap & no way to prepare for the weight & beauty of it all. Some days feel quite effortless, while others are not easy at all. I wear many hats each day & I carry most of the load on my own shoulders — but without question, being a mother is the most rewarding role I’ll ever hold.

I hope I can teach my son to follow his heart with confidence, to stay true to who he is & to know that if he puts his best foot forward, it will always be enough. I want him to grow up believing in himself, even when life feels uncertain or unsteady.

When I first made the move into real estate, I was asked, “How could I do it?” - balance work & motherhood on my own? I was told once, “As a client, I would never work with a single mother.” To that, I laughed. A single mom is resilient & is resourceful. My child reminds me to keep going, to lead with integrity & to never give up.

So, to all of us mothers who have ever been placed under a glass ceiling - that includes caregivers, sisters, aunts, teachers, mentors, moms-to-be, or those who wish-to-be - I see you! I salute you! And I will always stand with you! Because those who mother, know no bounds.
