Nine days ago @adrianegalea asked me to come speak at @visionariesonline and miraculously the timing worked out. And six days ago, after learning more about her audience, I asked Adriane if she would trust me; I wanted to change the entire topic of the talk. Instead of giving the same talk I did the week before, I had an idea for her audience specifically. She said yes! So I had six days to write, memorize, and deliver a closing keynote.

Based on the feedback I received tonight, it was the right call.

And while I have many more reflections to share on the keynote, I want to give a moment to the one thing I didn’t have to think about at all, my outfit! The moment I saw this @kinbykristine fit I knew it was what I was wearing on my next stage.

👋 Meet Hannah Soto!

We are thrilled to welcome @hellohannahsoto as our closing keynote speaker at Visionary!

Hannah brings over 20 years of experience building businesses and brands, including delivering more than $12 million in work through her video and photo production company, Arridia Group, with clients like Apple, Google, Marriott, and Coca-Cola.

One year ago today we packed up and left Chicago.

We sold 95% of what we owned and packed up our SUV with four seasons of clothing, our top books, and our beloved espresso machine.

Our plan: walk the Camino de Santiago, spend 3 months in Europe, and then return to the US to audition four cities across the country to find our next home.

While we are still deep in the audition process, today I am reflecting on the journey of leaving Chicago, walking the Camino, and the beautiful cities we’ve lived in over the last year along our “slo-mad” journey. taken in Chicago, Illinois by @hellohannahsoto

Most success stories get told backwards. 🤔

We start at the finish line because that’s the part that’s safe to talk about.

The middle is where you have no evidence yet, no language for what you’re doing, and no idea whether any of it works.
