It has been a wild few days. 🫨 Friday night we took Amanda in an ambulance to the ER & learned she experienced a small stroke affecting her thalamus & mid brain, leaving her with double vision, vertigo & balance issues. We’d love to hear from you if you’ve experienced something similar and can provide us with some hope & encouragement! She is still in the hospital & they’re still running tests, determining if she’ll need rehab before going home, etc.

We can also use any help we can get as Amanda navigates recovery. As many know, she lives alone here in the city on a 4th floor walk up, working in the world of freelance, still recovering from June’s broken foot + concussion all while caring for her two fur babies. 🐾

She will be out of work for some time. Her Venmo is @Amanda-Greer if anyone would like to send her anything that could help. ♥️ by @helloitsdnice

🎬 The hardest part of filmmaking? Telling the story honestly.

At the Catalina Film Festival, @theamandagreer & @helloitsdnice talk about the challenges of directing, acting, and portraying addiction on screen and what it takes to create a performance that feels real.

🎭 Real stories. Real challenges. Real filmmaking.

What do you think makes an on-screen portrayal truly authentic?

Celebrating pride month with our OG first film, “Our Director Got Covid So We Made This,’ nominated for Best LGBTQ+ film at its World Premiere in the 15th annual @goldendoorfilmfest. 🏳️‍🌈🎬 This film
marked the beginning of us becoming filmmakers, starting our mission with @theabbeystories - making stories worth telling by women, for women - leading to our 2nd award winning film “The Fix” that since premiering at #GDIFF last year has garnered 16 nominations and 9 wins so far. Thank you so much to the whole Golden Door team for having us, and a special thank you to @amarinelli66 for getting COVID! We are just getting started!
