🚧 a note about the construction🚧

if you’ve seen me in the last eight months it’s very likely i have complained about the roadworks on our street 😢

it’s impacted me more than i could have imagined. i find myself in a grumpy, cranky, frustrated puddle most days because i can’t reach you 😔

pansy is my every day, wellbeing, how i relate and show up for the people around me, and extend myself to the world.

we’ve been cut off from the city for the past half year, no cars, buses, trams, even cycling, wheelchair and pram access has been difficult. as a result, pansy has been really quiet, and compared to last year - a financial decline of over 1000% 😬 (this is not an exaggeration, i had to google the percentage calculation haha)

with this time, we’ve been working hard on switching out website over from squarespace to shopify (i’m so excited to show you some new fun features) and planning some really beautiful exhibitions & collaborations for the second half of 2026.

luckily the construction is only temporary and the light at the end of the tunnel is so close ☀️

tomorrow, monday 20 april 2026, the tram line 1 will be open again 🚋

construction work will still continue through until the end of july 2026, but we’ll have bigger bike paths, and a very convenient tram stop right in front of our shop, and a very cute new linden tree! 🌳

🥰 Windows for @helloitspansy 🩷

When I started brainstorming for Pansy, I didn’t know that pansies, the flower, attract a whole crowd. From caterpillars, slugs, deer, to squirrels, they all come for a taste. Turns out pansies are quite the hotspot 🦌🐛🐿️🐝

That felt like the perfect reflection of Pansy the store: it just pulls people in!! Every gatherings feels warm and welcoming~

I wanted to portray all kinds of creatures finally finding their way back to Pansy, making it their usual spot again :)

we have a new window in collaboration with @bethaniabrigitta !! 🐄🐮🦋🪻🐰🐢🍄 one of the beautiful things about the internet is getting to make magic like this happen - an cutie illustrator on the other side of the world, our mutual love for adorable colourful things, one video call, a lot of back and forth emails, hours of cutting, a rainy day of install and this is it!!!

Bethania's artwork will be on our windows for the rest of the year, along with a beautiful collection of paper goods she's made exclusively for us at pansy 🥹 (including stickers, sticker sheet, bookmark, and a few tiny notebooks!!)

my (pre-period, seasonal change) morning grumpies got the best of me today 🥺 i was sulking on my short walk to pansy but my sweet boyfriend @vincedingus reminded me of all the fun things we have to look forward to this snuggy season: hotpot, watching spooky shows, sauna time, soups & stews, and lots of drawing, painting, crafting together ✨

bring a friend along to pansy and let’s get cosy to paint your new favourite mug 🖌️🎨

you’re always welcome to as many teas and coffees as you like during our workshops (and if you’re lucky to have Maria @studioamsel teaching your session, she might even make you one of her yummy hot chocolates 🍫)

My Hello Amsterdam print is finally, actually, in Amsterdam!

This is my first Amsterdam print ever being sold in Amsterdam and not just anywhere, it’s now available at @helloitspansy ,which makes this extra special because last spring when I came here to joined @illustrationladies_amsterdam talk, which happened to take place right here in her shop.

I remember walking into @helloitspansy and immediately loving the colorful, joyful little world Lina has created here. So it feels pretty special to now see my own work sitting among all these beautiful things.
