I think deep down I always knew that you were here for a good time not a long time, but I never dreamed you’d leave like you did - I thought it’d be a snake bite, getting hit by a car or just pure exhaustion chasing something, not a silent cancer💔

You wangled your way into all of our hearts with your never ending boarding school faces, hilarious expressions, fascination with squeaky birds, desire to jump into the nearest body of water but absolute disdain for baths, stealing of strangers’ possessions off the beach, shoe relocating antics, intense dislike of cats, humpy humpy moments, and of course your insatiable appetite for chasing shorebirds until long past sunset.

You were a one in a million dog, my four legged soul mate, and life will never be the same without you. I’ll miss our road trips, the camping adventures, the bike rides, and the beach won’t be quite the same ever again.

I can take some comfort in the knowledge you had the best life a dog could have. You were my constant companion through the good times and the bad, and right now I can’t figure out what life will look like without you.

The grief is overwhelming but mixed with thankfulness that you aren’t silently suffering any more 💕 by @heloaitch
