Project Backpack is back after the summer and yesterday we kicked off our 21st Annual Campaign with a virtual presentation with the Global Nomads at Mulgrave School in West Vancouver. They will be running their campaign at the end of October and will be filling backs to support the Hollyburn Youth Safe House. Good luck with your campaign Global Nomads! by @help_projectbackpack

Thank you to all the participating schools and corporations in this year’s 20th Annual Project Backpack Campaign!! It was a successful one and we are deeply grateful for all your support. By working together, we make a difference in the lives of hundreds of youth whose circumstances are challenging. We will see you next year and hope your summer is a good one. ☀️ by @help_projectbackpack

How uplifting it was this afternoon to listen to the leaders of this year’s PBP campaign at Highlands Elementary School. They worked as a team to speak to other classes, brainstorm ideas for collection, make school announcements and organize the packing of 30 backpacks. When asked what they liked most about the campaign they said helping others. Thank you for the continued support of Highlands and Ms. Johnson. The packs, a large bin of toiletries and $280 in gift cards went immediately to Directions Youth Services. 😊 by @help_projectbackpack

THANK YOU Lord Selkirk School for your 8th year of support for Project Backpack!!
A huge shout out to the Educators who give so much of themselves to both their students and to the greater community. To the students for their compassion and commitment. To the community for their very generous spirit and support . 50 backpacks, two huge bins full of toiletries and supplies, and $760 in gift cards ($500 of which came from one family!) were dropped off to Directions youth Services on a busy afternoon in Vancouver.
We saw firsthand that the need is greater than ever. by @help_projectbackpack

Thank you to this select group of students at West Van Secondary. This is their second PBP campaign this school year! As part of their community service they hold fundraisers and then buy items to fill backpacks for at- risk youth. Youth helping youth. We look forward to seeing you again next year! by @help_projectbackpack

Project Backpack visited Ecole Cleveland Elementary School this afternoon. We met with Ms. Powers’ class to talk about their campaign to fill backpacks for unhoused and at risk youth. We left them with 27 backpacks to fill and discussed how and why we work to help youth. Good luck Cleveland! by @help_projectbackpack

Thank you to McKesson Canada and their wonderful community group Care and Share for their generous donation of $1000 to HELP Youth Canada. Very aptly named as we have partnered with them for a number of years for both HELP and Project Backpack and they really do care and share. ❤️ by @help_projectbackpack
