Project Backpack would like to say a huge Thank You to Humaniti for their recent gift of 100 new backpacks. These large, sturdy backpacks will be put to good use & help Vancouver’s homeless youth survive on the street.

PBP is celebrating 20 years, working with schools & businesses to make a difference. Thousands of packs have been stuffed & donated. Our efforts to reach deep into the vulnerable community could not be done without the efforts of many caring individuals & organizations, including compassionate charities like Humaniti.

Humaniti is a Canada-founded humanitarian organization with offices in Canada, United States and the United Kingdom. Their work impacts lives in more than 35 countries. Their guiding philosophy is simple: leave humanity better than we found it. Wherever there is human need or suffering, we do everything we can to alleviate it.

Thank you, Humaniti, for standing with our youth. # help_projectbackpack #Humaniti #Vancouver #YouthSupport #Community @vadenearle @wearehumaniti @themrsearle

The NSWC Female Peewee C2 team has been busy baking up a storm to support homeless youth via @HELP_projectbackpack. Thanks to the hearty appetite and generous support of many kind souls, the girls have exceeded their goal and have raised over $1,300 to build some 25 backpacks, and are thrilled to help a few less fortunate in the downtown eastside. Great work to the entire Female Peewee C2 team!! 👏🏻🧁🥧🍰

As we enter the colder winter months, the NSWC Female Peewee C2 team has been working hard to help those less fortunate in our communities. With an ambitious goal to raise $1,000-1,500 to support homeless youth through Project Backpack, the girls launched their first bake sale on Saturday afternoon earning an impressive $450! Thanks to everyone for your generosity.
Please bring your sweet tooth out and support them at their next bake sale on Friday, November 8th from at 5pm-7pm. The team will also have a silent auction featuring an HTC ice sheet rental and photography of your NSWC player/team by their official team photographer!
