Puddle of Joy is the best video I’ve ever made with the best clowns I ever knowwed. It’ll officially drop April 1st - the day of fools and my birthday month. Gonna be teasing some of my fav scenes until then. Here’s the intro. Love y’all ♥️🖤

This song began as an experiment in 2020. I got stuck in Austin at the beginning of the Pandemic. I put down a bass part on Dan’s combo organ and he started layering drums and synths and Scam City was born. It’s a song about numbness vs empathy, about the fear of not being able to breathe, about a violent and reckless government, about holding on for dear life, a love song for the living. Don’t you feel is a demand we sometimes say to ourselves just to make it to tomorrow.

Special thanks to @danceyjenkins for gassing me up for the last 5 years and being such a good producer, musical mentor and friend. My film muses @hen.nen and @cookievontufot for making this video on Ash Wednesday last year. @ghost_gnotes for the amazing guitar. @meg.n.tattoos for the background vocals and inspiration. and @rxchel.moves for dancing our faces off the day after Mardi Gras.

Let me introduce you to a world of Douglas Bourgeois. Set in the swamp of South Louisiana director a.r. havel recreates our favorite portrait of New Orleans Queen of Soul, Irma Thomas. A huge influence to me I’m honored to portray her countenance. The toasters in the fridge and all the furniture’s outside with the mosquitoes. And I’ll never complain unless to sigh about the one I’m waiting for. Watch Two of Hearts on youtube and stream any way you like ♥️♥️
