It’s the New Orleans Film Fest ! I’m proud to have directed the pilot episode of “Everybody Eats” which was a project conceived by my buddy @kari_nott . Kari asked me to direct this after receiving a grant; I was moving to Louisiana and knew the first episode should take pace in New Orleans. @leylacello graciously hosts this episode which spotlights some of the amazing organizations in this town. Shout out to the amazing crew who made Kari’s concept and my vision of that concept come together.

The pilot episode of “Everybody Eats,” a six-part docuseries, is premiering at the New Orleans Film Festival this Saturday, October 24 at 1:45pm at @thebroadnola

From our producer Kari:

What does a culture of community care look like, feel like? Musicians engage in conversations with farmers, chefs, food service and farm workers, cultural icons, and advocates coming together to find ways to thrive.

**NOTE: while the US consumes 80% domestically grown rice, roughly 50% of the crop is exported.**

What’s going on with U.S. farmers and our Agricultural Industry? The “slow squeeze”, exacerbated by fuel, and nitrogen prices- as explained by 5th Generation farmer, Brennon “Bruno” Sagrera, of Vermilion Parish, Louisiana.

10/05 I visited Holly Ridge, Louisiana to see if I’d be a fan of living next to a giant AI data center site… or if I might just be “backwards and poor”.
