Riding fast, sprinting well, taking podiums. Three podiums in 5 days, including a win Wednesday night at the velodrome (TALL BOX LETS GO). I love racing, I love being in breaks, sprinting, pedaling hard. Y’all are not even ready for cross 😈 by @hen_and_bikes

Not all weekends are race weekends, sometimes it’s a go to the beach and look at weird little guys in the tide pools kind of weekend. I did do a big ride over to the lake and back but it was a real treat splashing around. All thoughts back to track and EPO now I gotta try to stand on a tall box by @hen_and_bikes

Friday night at the track! Scored my first Friday night upgrade point and even scored a little cash prize! Pretty amazing feeling like I’m stronger and more experienced week on week. Made a kind of silly tactical error in the last two laps of the points race and maybe cost myself a podium. I got a little too excited and jumped at 2 to go thinking it was the bell lap hahahah, but hey you live and learn and that’s why I’m racing twice a week. Thank you @jbvelodrome for being such a good place to race and find community. And thank you to @steveverist for taking these great photos and making me feel like a superstar!!

Love u all 💕 by @hen_and_bikes

$Hey y’all! That was fun wasn’t it? Had a great time ripping around the Volunteer Park Crit snagged some preems (pic 1) and a second place in the 4/5 race! Spent the 4/5 trying to conserve, outside of snagging the cash preem, and then tried my best in the sprint. Maybe overgeared myself a bit but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I came here for a podium and got it, so with that and some lessons learned I’m pretty happy. 3/4s race I mostly wanted to give my protected riders a reason to rest in the group so when Caitlin was brought back at the crest of the climb I went for a flyer. Managed to spend a good few laps with a 20s gap and even coaxed a preem from the commentary platform. Sounds like there were a few attacks in one lap that brought me back. I managed to get back in the group and eventually Claire and Sally got away so I did some pulls in the chaise group to make sure we didn’t get lapped. Tried for another flyer/reverse leadout at 2 to go but was so cooked and pulled my ripcord when i got brought back at the bell. Feeling really strong and looking forward to laying down some power at EPO and the track in the coming weeks! Couldn’t do this without my pit crew/performance engineer/no1 supporter Lisan 💕 and the strange man in my DMs and my training peaks who keeps giving me workouts to do, not sure who he is… jk it’s Max who may still have a coaching slot open if you’re looking for some gains and silly selfies 📸 (1) @steveverist (2) @caitlin.pellerbruch (3) @steveverist (4) @steveverist (5) @benvanderzanden (6) @seattlemcgraw by @hen_and_bikes$

Been having so much fun racing at the track lately! Got myself some fancy new wheels and I feel like I’m finding form and getting better at race strategy with every race night. So stoked that we have the @jbvelodrome !! Thanks to @crowdxkill for the loooooong stem and the best coaching a girl could ask for. Yay bikes! Come watch me race in Redmond Wednesdays and most Fridays at 7, it’s almost as fun to spectate as it is to race!!

Had such a good time ripping around the course at north Sea-Tac last weekend! Thanks to @cross_revolution for putting on another incredible season, I really liked the mix of new and familiar courses. I’m really pleased I was able to finish the Seattle season with a W and in so doing I secured the CXR NB series for the second time! After a really busy summer I knew I wouldn’t be quite as fit as last year but I still had two big goals, defend my state title and defend my CXR overall. Somehow, by bike throw, borrowed pit bikes, and lots of tubulars, I managed to just squeak out both! I’ve never felt more motivated or better placed for an upcoming cross season and I have every intention of finding bigger success in 2024. Catch me training in all weather, I’ve got a missed summer’s worth of fitness to go track down.

Love you all, the Seattle area cross scene is just the best!

Y’all, my heart is so full after Sunday’s Woodland Park GP. We had what I’m pretty sure is the largest non-binary cycling field ever?? And I had so much fun digging deep on a course that had perfect conditions and lots of twisty turns, not to mention the incredible spectators! Ended up finishing 8th of 28 after a continuation of my season long battle with Rue. A last lap bobble meant I wasn’t able to come back to them before the finish but that’s alright, we were glued together during the last race of the day! My finish on the day meant I had done enough to maintain my second place in the series which was a nice reward for battling through all the mechanicals and bad luck I’ve had at MFG this season. Looking forward to trying to defend my CXR series title at Sea-Tac next weekend and also at the 2024 cross season which I’m already laying the groundwork for. I love this community and I love my team!

(Ps I love wearing my champions jersey, so glad they’re race cut and a classy design this year) by @hen_and_bikes

What an incredible weekend at Ft.Steilacoom! While the course was not my favorite with very little in terms of technical features it forced me to race in a way that I don’t usually. Rue and I were stuck together the whole race! On early laps I had made some gaps on the run up but had been unable to consolidate so decided to hold the front and set a pace that I thought would help preserve something for the inevitable sprint. Coming out of the fish bowl and into the last section of the race Rue put in a great move and managed to take the lead from me, I was thinking that whoever came out the the barriers first was going to have the best run at it so I dismounted as late as possible and just managed to retake the lead on the exit from the barriers. In the end it came down to a super tight sprint which was won on the bike throw! If the line had been just a little further I think they would have had me. Really glad to have had such a fun and tactical battle and to retain my title! I’m so proud of our little category and I hope it continues to grow. Also really happy to have gotten a super classy race fit jersey this year, I felt great in it on the Sunday race and can’t wait to keep repping it through the end of the season. Thanks to @lizzard_hands and @andy.lee.jordan for photos and lots of support, I couldn’t do this alone. Also thanks to @breakfast_cc for being the best team a girl could ask for and for inspiring me to try and be the best cyclist I can!! Can’t wait to see everyone next weekend, cross is the best
