I could listen to Hena for hours... and I have. She’s been on the shop’s mixtape since day 1 ~ blessing your ears while you sipped on your hot chai. She’ll be coming to the hut in 2 weeks and will be able to bless your ears in person! We’ll be transforming the hut to a moody dim lit oasis, Hena performing with her bandmate, Bunta beers in hand and we’ll have a special cocktail inspired by Hena’s music. There’ll also be Punjabi small plates available.

Tickets are free but entry will be on a first come first serve basis. See link in bio!

Look forward to seeing you there xxxo by @henasharma

Wake Up! has been out for a week - thank you if you’ve given the track a listen, means the world 🌏! also ty for the lovely lovely comments/feedback. being an independent artist in my freetime lowkey comes with a lot of ups and downs but i’ve recently been reminded of how important it is to continue to share grassroots art, music and sound in these times - especially as an artist of south asian heritage

link in bio to my bandcamp where you can purchase the song if you wish and support :)

to celebrate Wake Up! releasing we got together to film a lil acoustic version of the song for you guys 🌷 felt so nice to play together again after a long time live music is so special :) hope you enjoy this stripped down version! and big love if you’ve listened to Wake Up!!!!

lyrics are below:
slowly we unwind
too busy to be checking the time
you slip your hand in mine
but can this really be?
you’re sitting so close to me

dream state and i’m drifting away
i know what i want and i want it today
and can you read my mind - you must be joking
or is it the green we’ve been smoking

closeeee to meeee is where
i want you to beeee
and i don’t know how much longer
i can wait by @henasharma

Wake Up! out now 🦋🍒 long time in the making! thanks so much to @atyantchopra who drove the production on the track and really brought the voice memo/song i shared 3 years ago to life — additional production from @dheermodi5 & me. also huge thanks to my collaborators & friends that played on the song @luukas.mp3 @1polarr @than.atou @alexdrumsstuff + more!! this track wouldn’t exist without you guys. videography by the one and only @jayaa.sharmaa 🍒🩷

also thx to my lovely encouraging friends/community - crazy some of u know the lyrics to Wake Up! when it’s not even released yet hahah 💘 by @henasharma

3 dayssss till Wake Up! is out ⋆｡°·🌥️ a song that floats somewhere between my dreams and reality + comments on a longing i know many crave for genuine romantic connection when our lives have become more digital than ever

this is the first verse.. fun fact: i improvised these lyrics in 2023 whilst i was gazing out my bedroom window and zoning out on a chicken shop that was on the road across from me loool #london by @henasharma
