Hena performed at the hut last Thursday and still thinking about it. We turned down the lights, turned on the sunset lamp + amps, plugged in the electric guitar and microphone and then Aty started strumming with Hena following with her voice. It was beautiful - they transformed the space into a dreamy sanctuary and everyone tapped into the frequency. Here are some photos and videos to give you a glimpse of it. @buntabeer and an Indian garden cocktail in hand with a lovely warm group of people taking it all in.

I could listen to Hena for hours... and I have. She’s been on the shop’s mixtape since day 1 ~ blessing your ears while you sipped on your hot chai. She’ll be coming to the hut in 2 weeks and will be able to bless your ears in person! We’ll be transforming the hut to a moody dim lit oasis, Hena performing with her bandmate, Bunta beers in hand and we’ll have a special cocktail inspired by Hena’s music. There’ll also be Punjabi small plates available.

Tickets are free but entry will be on a first come first serve basis. See link in bio!

Look forward to seeing you there xxxo

A little appreciation before we turn the page.

To every artist who has trusted MEDAIUM, every team member and creative who has helped bring our ideas to life, our founders who started it all, and everyone who has supported us along the way, thank you.

From the stages to the people behind them, every show, every conversation and every person who showed up has helped shape what MEDAIUM is today.

We’ve learned, grown and built something we’re incredibly proud of, and we’re only getting started. A new chapter is already taking shape.

Tomorrow, we take the first step into what’s next. 🖤

Due to the tag limit, we would also like to mention all the band members that supported the artists: @1polarr @dheermodi5 @atyantchopra @luukas.mp3 @than.atou @dishanabrahams @paandi.404 @jatin.saxophone

Happy 5th Solar Return, Coco Collective 🥳🧡🌱

Last Friday, on Juneteenth, we celebrated with old and new Coco Collective family, who have shared in things like on- site film screenings and cook-outs, to beautiful evenings much like this one.

Five years ago, we opened our gates to people who were excited that a safe outdoor space for Black and Brown communities had been created in the wake of Covid.

Back then, I knew very little about gardening 🤣, but I knew our communities needed this. Since then, the soil has become our tool. 🌱✨

We’ve grown into a space offering health checks as a community clinic, hosted food-growing workshops for children and adults, created a space for mental wellness sessions, and built a cultural hub led by our people, for our people.

Big love to @Henasharma, @Cecili.ka, and @jae_x.ldn for sharing their musical gifts, volunteers Tony and @llleorob for their soulful spoken word, Daniel for the libation and Joshua for the prayers over us and the land. A Trini Thing @atrinithing served up some delicious 🇹🇹 doubles, and to everyone who helped set up, garden, tidy, and contribute to a positive, loving evening. ✊🏾🧡

5 years strong.
Highly Blessed & Favoured ❤️💛💚

Asé 🤲🏾

Wow… now I need to figure out how to contextualise yesterday’s beautiful event.

I don’t know why it still shocks me seeing so many people come out and show their support for the people of Sudan. Putting on these events to come together, raise awareness, and build a community here that genuinely cares and wants to support… it means everything. Yesterday’s energy was just *😭💗🤞🏾✨* so soft, so powerful, so needed.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, donated, shared, showed up, and brought your whole spirit into the room. On a TUESDAY?! Be serious 😭. I swear we could’ve gone on for hours. I left feeling so energised, held, and fuelled to keep fighting with love.

Still taking it all in, but just know: your presence mattered. Your support mattered. And we’re only getting started 🇸🇩✨

Thank you to all the incredible artists that preformed:
@henasharma
@aichatherese
@nubiasfinest

All the DJs:
@asiaahmed
@dualehoke

Donated items:
FREE SUDAN RING @hadakajewellery
SUDAN PRINTS @fioandfio (which you can still buy online)
HAAND-MADE WELLNESS PACKAGE (Seamoss, Shea butter, Oils, tea) @wyld_herbs / @joellerobinson

@the0rangeroom for giving not just me but others a space in this city to be able to come together 🍊🧡

Also, S/O to all my friends that always help me without question during these fundraisers, you all hold it down💗🫂

Lastly, FREE SUDAN 🇸🇩
