New CAC event: Henny Acloque✨

Join @countrysideartclub for a private visit to @hennyacloque’s Oxfordshire studio.

Intuitive, alchemical and alive with mischievous forms, Acloque’s paintings blur the boundaries between landscape, memory and dream.

Henny will take us through her evolving practice, inspirations and recent work following her recent sojourn in Seville.

Posted @withregram • @lushartshow “The painting rises from the brush strokes as a poem rises from the words. The meaning comes later.”
Joan Miro

There always seems to be something happening in Henny Acloque’s paintings. Conversations are occurring between and within.
Widely differing painting techniques and styles collide, imagery from different genres and centuries bash into each other. Crocodiles, gardens, feet, hands, sausage dogs, hormones, Spanish things, religious paraphernalia, idyllic landscapes, paint blobs, bicycles, meandering lines, pools of translucent loveliness. Epic poems are being written, stories are being told, meaning is made.

@hennyacloque is a participating artist in LUSH. A forthcoming exhibition at @thamessidestudiosSE18
Her fellow exhibitors are
