Before gps, traditional navigation with the aid of clocks and watches was still very important. Cliff Tait used his Rolex GMT which was presented to him by the brand on his solo flight around the world in the 1960s. In a tiny little plane called Miss Jacy, Tait would fly more than 30,000 miles. An incredible feat, even to this day. Tait passed away during the writing of this article, and so it’s dedicated to him.
