POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today we entered the RiverBeat Pet Parade, where Juniper proudly represented her self-appointed role as Waltham’s Safety Patrol Officer: keeping local walking paths safe from runners, cyclists, squirrels, and any other suspicious activity. 🚴🏃‍♀️🐿️

The best part? This entire costume was thrown together about 30 minutes before arriving after we realized there was still time to enter the contest. Apparently high-visibility gear, a cat toy squirrel, and a tiny cowboy hat are all it takes to become Waltham’s most dedicated safety officer. 😂

Costume aside, the thing we’re most proud of is how incredibly well she handled herself. Loud music, large crowds, dogs everywhere, cyclists riding through, and plenty of excited kids wanting to say hello. Multiple dogs got right in her space, and one young Bernedoodle was loudly expressing their opinions about the event. Juniper stayed calm, neutral, and focused through all of it.

For a dog who has worked hard on her reactivity, days like this are a reminder of how far she’s come. Progress isn’t always flashy, sometimes it’s simply making good choices in difficult environments.

Sadly, she didn’t bring home a prize this year, but we had countless people stop us afterward to tell us she should have won Best Behaved, Crowd Favorite, or Best Dressed. We may be biased, but we agree. 😂

Huge shoutout to @communityk9training for helping us build the skills and confidence that made today possible. ❤️🐾

Day 5 and Juniper is still reenacting Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party like it’s her national anthem.
I fear she’s becoming stronger.

Day Three of trying to get @‌yelyahwilliams to notice us:
Juniper has now rehearsed her entire Ego death at a bachelorette party setlist.
She’s doing full choreography. With the wig.
Please, Hayley… I cannot keep bribing this dog with treats for performances 😭💛

Day Two of trying to get Hayley Williams to notice us.
Losing the Boston ticket war broke my whole spirit, but Hayley’s music got me through harder things… so here we are.
Juniper is doing her best impersonation of a tiny yellow-haired rockstar to earn us a miracle ✨💛
Your move, @‌yelyahwilliams.

Lost the ticket war to see @‌yelyahwilliams in Boston and I’m genuinely unwell 😭
Petals For Armor healed my entire personality in 2020 and now the universe said “try again next lifetime!”

So obviously I coped in the most normal way:
✨ bought my dog a wig
✨ dyed it ego-yellow
✨ put sunglasses on her
✨ and made her perform Ego Death at a bachelorette party

Hayley… if Juniper doesn’t get me tickets, nothing will. 👀💛

Just your friendly neighborhood cattle dog serving some major pride vibes! 🌈 Being the goodest girl at @walthamlgbtpride, making new friends and spreading pawsitive energy from her throne (aka chair). Even met a Storm Trooper today and decided they’re way less sus than that Captain Jack Sparrow from Salem! 💕
