Back where it started 🏉

I’m officially back @buckinghamswans

The last time I played here, we won every game and I finished as the team’s top try scorer. I then moved to Old Albanians, where we won the league, finished runners-up and in my final season I finished as top try scorer for both the team and the league, with 18 tries in 17 games.

I’ve done all of that whilst studying at university, graduating, starting my own business and figuring out life along the way.

So to come back to Buckingham now, with a lot more experience behind me and a lot more to give, feels pretty special.

And this season I’ll be sponsoring myself, which is a pretty cool feeling when you think about it.

My relationship with the gym has definitely evolved over the years.

Started lifting at 16 because I wanted to get stronger for rugby and it was a great outlet. Somewhere along the way I started overthinking every session so much that I forgot the whole point was to actually enjoy training.

Now I’m much more about finding the balance between training smart, staying fit for rugby, recovering properly and actually having a good time.

Anyway, pull ups as a finisher after an upper body session was probably not the smartest idea… but me and bro were having too much fun 😂 @lateefas_ taken in Muscle Hut MK by @herelleshaniah

I spent a lot of my life trying to make my body smaller.

I grew faster than my peers and was always conscious of taking up too much space. Rugby changed that for me. Seeing so many different bodies doing incredible things made me realise there was never one “right” way to look.

Now I post my body because I like it. Not for attention, validation or anyone else’s appreciation. I do it because I’m proud of what I’ve created and I’m finally comfortable taking up space.

Muscle, curves, scars, my wonky broken finger, whatever you’ve got… it’s yours. You don’t need to change yourself to make other people comfortable.

And if you see a woman being comfortable in her body and your first thought is to question her character, that sounds like a you problem to me.

You can have a look 👀, but you can’t touch 😋. This is my body, my expression and my choice. by @herelleshaniah

Wag wan people 👋🏾 Here’s a lil story about the adventures of a Lucian in the Highlands.

First stop had to be my guy Paddy 🐻

Then grabbed myself a Costa. I’m a simple girl: soya milk flat white because soy has the most protein out of all the dairy alternatives. You’re welcome for the tip ☕️

Also, the song I’ve chosen for this dump was played for me by a girl on the train. We were both jamming to our own tunes, swapped headphones and shared some music. So this one made the cut 🎧

First stop: LV. Waited for them to open and was the first one in that bitch. Did I buy anything? Hell no. But I’ll have a look 😂

Then went suit shopping because I’ve got an event coming up. Who knew I scrub up so well 👔

Uniqlo is one of my favourite brands right now. Quality pieces all around. You’re welcome for the plug 🤝🏾

Back to the yard for the party. Whole fam looking like royalty for Unc’s 55th 👑
