What if your obedience is someone else’s lifeline?

In this episode of Her Executive Diary, @nashescorner reflects on the moment she realized her voice wasn’t just her own; that showing up, even when she didn’t feel ready, was tied to someone else’s destiny.

“Someone is waiting for me to obey. Somebody’s destiny is bound to my obedience in how I show up.”

Sometimes the thing you almost kept to yourself is exactly what someone else needed to hear. So the next time you hesitate to share, speak, or show up, ask yourself who might be waiting on your voice, your perspective, your story.

What if the only thing standing between you and your destiny is you?

In her diary entry @nashescorner reminds us that purpose isn’t a lane, it’s you. Mother, founder, career woman, all of it. The purpose doesn’t change shape, you just carry it differently in each season.

“God is saying there’s more. If you just let go and open up, make room for the blessings that I have for you.”

Sometimes destiny isn’t waiting on God. It’s waiting on us to release the dead weight.

This and much more in the latest entry of Her Executive Diary.

Nobody tells you that becoming yourself is a decision you have to make every single day.

Not chasing shadows. Not being a copy of someone else. Just choosing, over and over, to show up as you.

In this episode of Her Executive Diary, we sit down with @nashescorner, woman of faith, builder, purpose midwife, to talk about identity, purpose and the process of becoming.

She told me something I haven’t stopped thinking about:

“It would be a shame for your sun to set before people get to meet the real you.”

For every woman building in corporate and building on the side, this one’s for you.

Together we explore why your career and purpose can coexist, the importance of mentorship & sponsorship and how to step confidently into the person you are becoming.

What do we do when we feel like we’re outgrowing those closest to us? When our seasons no longer align with people who have known a version of us we barely recognize anymore?

In this episode, @musathecreative encourages us to challenge one another as friends while also remembering that no two journeys are identical.

So let’s extend each other grace as we navigate life’s different seasons, growing at our own pace.

Go and get that degree. 👀

We live in a time where dropout success stories dominate headlines, making the outliers seem common.

In this episode, @musathecreative reminds us to see every experience, every course, every job and every challenge, as another tool added to our toolbox.

So the degree isn’t just about the qualification. It’s about developing critical thinking, communication, research, collaboration, discipline, and resilience. Skills you’ll carry into every season of your life.

Sometimes the opportunity in front of you isn’t a detour; it’s preparation.

You never know which skill will unlock your next level. by @herexecutivediary

Our gifts make room for us and bring us before great people.

Each of us is born with something uniquely our own - a gift, a light that only we can carry.

As custodians of that light, it’s our responsibility to nurture it, develop it, and put it to work. No one else can do that for us.

In this episode, Musawenkosi reminds us of the importance of embracing every opportunity that comes our way. Every experience adds another tool to our toolbox - one that may prove invaluable when we least expect it.

“A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” - Proverbs 18:16

Sometimes our dreams manifest in unexpected ways.

We spend years working towards one version of our future, only to realise that life has been quietly preparing us for something else entirely.

In this week’s entry, @musathecreative, host of @herchapterpod, joins me on the other side of the couch.

We discuss shedding old identities, stepping out of survival mode, and how leaning into her creative gifts opened unexpected doors, even when it diverged from her original dream of becoming a diplomat.

If you’re currently navigating a shift, letting go of what you thought your life should look like, or learning to trust the skills you’re picking up along the way, this conversation is for you.

Building something can feel lonely.

Especially when you’re carrying the vision, making the decisions and wondering if you’re doing enough.

If that’s you, hear Rodna’s advice:

“Don’t do it alone.”

The strongest women aren’t the ones who never ask for help.
They’re the ones who know they weren’t meant to build in isolation.
