Our Callo de Hacha dish is inspired by a meal Chef Silvino had in Mexico City.

Seared Hokkaido Scallop sits over a crisp heirloom tostada that’s topped with nam prik pla ra , avocado & chives.

New Austin restaurant you NEED to try! 🚨
Hermanas just opened in East Austin, serving up delicious Thai-Mexican fusion.

Here’s everything we ordered and loved:
• Whole Chicken ($44) Easily feeds two! Served with fresh tortillas and two incredible house-made salsas. Absolute standout dish 🔥
• Panang Curry Molé Steak — That sauce was EVERYTHING 🤌
• Crispy Mushroom Rice, Empanada & Crudo — Packed with flavor
• Chocolate Mousse — You HAVE to save room for dessert 🍊🍫 It tastes just like those chocolate orange candies in the best way possible!

Meet Chef Silvino Sanchez. 🌶️

At Hermanas, Chef Silvino brings together two culinary worlds that have shaped his journey: the Mexican food he grew up with and his passion for the vibrant ingredients, flavors, and techniques of Southeast Asia.

Hermanas is the local nickname for the train station in Escobedo, Coahuila, Mexico- a gateway connecting the border and northern Mexico to the rich culture and cuisine of the south. For Chef Silvino, the name represents a personal journey back to his Mexican heritage and the flavors that feel like home.

His menu is a reflection of that journey: vibrant Mexican flavors, thoughtfully crafted dishes, unique wines, and handcrafted agave cocktails, woven together with subtle Southeast Asian influences.

Come for dinner. Stay for the drinks.
