A belief in our Hermits and NOW, MORE THAN EVER a commitment to their future.

An unforgettable evening at St. Augustine Prep celebrated Mr. John P. Kirwin III ’74, the 2026 Gregor Mendel Award recipient and a founding benefactor of IEE at the Prep.

The evening included an extraordinary announcement: the launching of Now, More Than Ever, a $20 million comprehensive campaign for St. Augustine Prep. After receiving the Mendel Award, Mr. Kirwin then announced his own $1 million commitment toward the campaign supporting the Mahoney-Spina Scholarship and the Innovation, Experiential Learning, & Entrepreneurship program.

Mr. Kirwin’s generosity has helped advance the Prep and IEE’s shared vision: creating opportunities for our students to explore new interests, learn beyond the classroom, and turn their ideas into something real.

Thank you, Mr. Kirwin, for believing in what your Hermit Brothers can accomplish—and helping make it possible.

From the pitch to the front office, it was a 24-hour Hermit doubleheader at Subaru Park!

After Hermits Soccer scored a 5–0 victory at Subaru Park, a group of Prep students returned to the stadium the following day to explore the work that happens beyond the field through the Work in Sports Camp, presented by Widener University in partnership with the Philadelphia Union.

Students from the Prep’s Innovation, Experiential Learning and Entrepreneurship Program and the inaugural IEE Fellows cohort interested in sports-related careers received a behind-the-scenes look at gameday operations, fan experience, communications, physical therapy, ticketing and sales.

Experiences like this allow the Hermit Brotherhood to explore their interests, ask questions and discover career paths they may not have previously considered.

We thank Widener University and the Philadelphia Union for welcoming our Hermits and sharing this memorable day with them!

Rooted in Brotherhood. Ready to lead.

Surrounded by their families, educators and supporters, ten Hermits became the inaugural cohort of IEE Fellows at St. Augustine Prep’s first IEE Fellows Induction Dinner.

Signing their commitment letters marked the start of a shared responsibility: to lead with humility, serve with purpose and help build a tradition that future Hermits will carry forward.

Congratulations to our founding Fellows and the families who have helped shape them. We look forward to seeing their ideas take shape.

Formed in Brotherhood. Called to Innovate.
