In March 2024, Anderson Cooper joined a Heroic Hearts Project retreat in Mexico, following nine veterans with PTSD on a week-long psychedelic healing journey.
Founded by veterans, for veterans, our retreats are built around the unique experiences and needs of those who’ve served.
Veterans aren’t waiting for the system to catch up. They are finding their own path to healing.

Advancing psychedelic research is a core part of our work. It’s mission-critical when it comes to expanding access to effective treatments and improve care for veterans living with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and other service-related challenges.

We collaborate with top research institutions around the world, including Imperial College London, the University of Texas, King’s College London/Onaya Science, the University of Melbourne, and more, to study how psychedelics can support healing.
Early findings are promising: over 80% of veterans report significant improvement after participating in our psychedelic programs.

By supporting this research, we move closer to a future where all veterans have access to the care they deserve.

When conventional care ran out, American Veterans left the country to find something that worked.
That search became a movement. The movement reached the Oval Office.

On October 13, it reaches Prague.
At Prague Castle, @themission_within, @americans4ibo, Ambio Life Sciences, @heroicheartsproject, and the Veteran Mental Health Leadership Coalition share a panel at SCALE 2026, alongside clinicians, researchers, and policymakers from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and across the EU.

When a veteran comes to an HHP retreat, the healing doesn’t stop with them. It ripples out to their families and communities. Many alumni, like Jason, go on to serve again through advocacy and giving back.

Veterans get help. Then they get to work.
