JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an Audio Engineer to help record, mix and edit music and audio for our podcast. You will help set up (via zoom or preferred streaming service), record, and edit post-production material to ensure the best audio for each podcast episode.

We expect you to be knowledgeable about different audio recording and editing techniques. If you also possess a creative mind and a good ear we’d like to hear from you

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Follow instructions and details from directors, producers etc
-Assist hosts and guests with set up and test sound equipment before events, broadcasts or recordings
-Record, edit and mix audio tracks (instruments, vocals etc.)
-Enhance sound quality and add sound effects to recordings
Work with video editors to synchronize video with audio tracks
-Create and maintain sound libraries
Resolve technical issues when they arise

REQUIREMENTS:

-Proven experience as sound engineer
-Technical expertise in sound engineering techniques (e.g. equalization)
-Experience with sound editing and recording equipment (e.g. mixing consoles)
-Working knowledge of recording software and hardware (e.g. Pro Tools)
-A team player with excellent communication skills
-Creativity and attention to detail
-Problem-solving abilities
-Excellent hearing and manual dexterity
-High school diploma; Degree in audio/sound engineering or related field is a plus by @herplaceisin

Preparing for pregnancy before getting pregnant.

Jasmine is a community college counselor, doula and reproductive health advocate. She committed to creating spaces, dialogues, and resources that promote womb care, self-love, and holistic health for all women.

Jasmine is the Founder of Proud Legacy (@myproudlegacy) which is focused on offering spaces, products, and resources that support women's reproductive health, prenatal, and postpartum holistic care. This is a collection of resources, recommendations, and supportive tools to promote healthy womb, prenatal and postnatal experiences. Although each woman is unique the resources found on this site may offer some comfort and possible resolution.

Jasmine is also the Co-Founder of Coco Coalition (@cococoalition) lovingly called Coco, which addresses emotional, mental, and social health by creating experiences and mobilizing women of the African Diaspora. Coco's goal is to empower a new generation of black girls with health and educational resources as well.

We’re excited to announce our second host, @arlettteee . Arlette us a proud Honduran and a Co-Founder of Her Place Is In with a true passion for empowering and helping underserved communities. It is this passion that motivated her to obtain a Bachelors in Child and Adolescence Development, and a Masters Degree in Public Health. Additionally, she is a Clinical Health Educator providing temperament and nutrition counseling support to children and parents. She will soon be an international Board-Certified Lactation Consultant.
