POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For those who don’t know — my career began in the Bay Area as a Women’s Rights Activist and co-producer of the @herplaceisin project. a massive collective art campaign where hundreds of women from all walks of life came together to reclaim power, visibility, and voice to challenge where society says our place should be.

Working on this project remains one of the greatest honors of my life.

At the time, I didn’t fully understand how much it would shape the path I was stepping onto. But looking back now, I see clearly how it planted the seed for everything that came after.

Her Place Is In was never just about photographs or art. It was about what happens when women gather in solidarity. When we make space for one another’s stories. When we challenge the narratives that try to shrink us.

It taught me something I’ve carried into every room I’ve stepped into since:

When women come together, something powerful happens.

New worlds begin to take shape.

That belief lives underneath all of my work today — the spaces I create, the stories I tell, the communities I help bring together.

Because the truth is simple:

When women are empowered, communities change.
And when women are FREE to embody their fullest expression, the whole world becomes freer as a result.

On this International Women’s Day, I’m honoring the women who shaped me, worked beside me, and continue to inspire the work I do.

When women rise, the whole world rises with us.
We are stronger together.

Happy International Women’s Day. ✨

Happy International Women's Day! I'll never forget this beautiful photoshoot experience from 2018. I gathered with women (most of us strangers to each other, but friends at the end!) of all races and backgrounds who came together to celebrate being our unique, raw and authentic selves and embodying womankind into this stunning image. This photo says to me: "Sis, I got you!" Women supporting women. A true honor and a moment that will always be with me.

Here is my original reflection from 2018:
"I went to China Beach in October with excitement but also with uncertainty and nerves. The idea was to shoot 40 diverse women with no makeup and only the essentials covering our frames. Never had I been so bare before and with strangers I hadn't yet met. But the intention of accepting ourselves and seeing past the "flaws" we place on each other dissipated with the fog. You could sense in the air that it wasn't about that. It was about womanhood, inclusivity, bravery, and figuring out what true beauty is. This snapshot @brianagardener captured emulates the joy I felt in just being myself- in my skin, my rawest form. It sums up a day that empowered me and made me feel more bold than I thought possible. It helps me remember that we are all different shapes and sizes with different thoughts and emotions but under it all we are just human, just women. I took a risk and it was electrifying. I'm beyond grateful for each and every woman who participated and the love and acceptance that radiated from them. I'll always remember the way you made me feel. 💖👩🏻👩🏽👩🏿✨"

Embracing Diversity and the Beauty that lies in Sisterhood. Just because! 🎨🌍✨

In a world painted with the vibrant hues of diversity, we celebrate the strength, beauty, and power of women of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, race, faith, sexual identity and ability. Together, we weave the tapestry that captures the true essence of humanity.🧵

Adrienne Rich once wrote:

"If you are trying to transform a brutalized society into one where people can live in dignity and hope, you begin with the empowering of the most powerless."

This serves as a poignant reminder that our collective strength lies in our differences. Through unity, we amplify our voices, shatter barriers, and pave the way for a world where every woman can authentically thrive.

✨Happy International Women’s Day✨

💪🏽To the woman who doesn’t give up on her dreams even when they haven’t manifested in their reality yet.

❤️‍🩹To woman who is going through her healing journey and working on becoming the best version of herself.

✋🏾To the woman who is learning to say NO and stay true to her boundaries even though it is so uncomfortable.

💆🏾‍♀️To the woman who has decided to date herself and has been learning to find joy in being alone

💕To the woman who pours love into all aspects of herself, even her shadow.

✨To the woman who is creating change in the world and following up on her purpose.

🌙You are beautiful
🌙You are enough
🌙You deserve the world

💫Even when the world seems to be against us, there is nothing more beautiful than being a woman we bring life into this realm. We bleed with the moon We are such powerful beings.

❤️I love you so much
