A love letter to regret

It's like a elevator dropping afew levels in my heart
The drop and then the haunting ache
It comes especially when I meet beauty
And
Somehow don't respond to it in the way that my heart has longing
Today it met me in the beauty of a women

I was DJing at dance temple
With my keffiyeh as my table alter cloth

For weeks now I have been adorning myself with the keffiyeh.. taking her everywhere I go
Wearing her
Using her as my alter
A signal
A symbol that I care and grieve for the lives we are loosing

And for the land that I fell inlove with since childhood

Today the keffiyeh wove magic for me
She magnetized
A beautiful falastinian women to my dj table

This women touched the keffiyeh cloth the same way a women touches her new born baby
She looked up at me
With her deep beautiful eyes

And she said
This is from my land

And I said
Yes
We held hands faces closer then you normally would to a stranger
Eyes locked
Filling with the waters from our hearts

She asked

Have you been there ?

I said yes ..

All I wanted was to leave my dj / facilitator role
And hug her so tight

But I had to mix in the next song

I asked her if she will be here till the end ..
She nods

And Lies down on the ground as close to the keffiyeh as she could be
Holding her heart

The last track is a track that takes me to the desert of falastin... Isra-l.
To a time When I lived and loved that desert
And learnt to love myself.

I played that song for her ..

And at the end of the dance
In the closing circle

I scanned the faces for her face

It was no where to be seen.

I couldn't find her

And my heart sank afew levels
the longing I felt to hug her become a siren in my heart
A haunting desire
And a sad temperature

Of unacted dreams.
Poured over me

For weeks now. I was longing for this keffiyeh to bring falastin closer to me
This women was everything

And I desired to meet her and together meet in our mutual love and sorrow

It reminded me of teenage love.

Wow. Hats off, hands up and deep bows to us! In my experience, we all showed up with brilliant presence, gracious reverence and heartfelt care to the 2026 Dance Temple Gathering.

I’ve spent this past week digesting, integrating and ruminating on the beauty that was embodied in our full weekend together... I am in awe of how this dancing community showed up to deepen in our steps towards creating safer space for us to dream, heal and grow into the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.

What a gift to co-create a space where our local indigenous hosts feel welcome and valued to bring protocol, wisdom, language, healing and gifts to our shared table.

Where our ancestors are honoured and our children celebrated.

Where our grief and joy are welcomed as we get to know ourselves and each other.

Where we are held by so many incredible space holders, the grace of the land and its creatures and the benevolence of the unseen realms.

May we continue to seed this dream: one of inclusion and participation, of healing and transformation, of authenticity and freedom, of respect and reverence.

AND PLAY!!! I love playing with you… I had so much fun.

As our Relational Embodiment guide, Cat has curated a bundle of experiences to support the emotional depth and capacity within our council. She has lovingly tracked the group nervous system throughout our time together—which has helped to inform the landscape of the ritual and the coherence of our relational field.

This year at Enliven, Cat will be guiding a movement and relational embodiment workshop. This will be a journey of grounding into your body through gentle somatic movement—arching into group relational embodiment exercises. Think embodied sensual-fun-meets-clown and play! 🤸🏽‍♀️🌹✨

I feel a deep sense of peace in the work I do.
Over the years, my sessions have continued to transform
changing, growing, evolving.

Feeling someone’s nervous system soften
into a place of real safety
is such a gift to witness.
Seeing stuck pain and tension be released

My hands listen to the landscape
to the story of the body
gently creating space for more of your soul to live there.
Opening the channels so you can inhabit more of yourself.

It’s not always easy to describe exactly what happens in a session…
but something meaningful unfolds every time.

Lately, I’ve been finding that sessions want to be longer
often around three hours
and I’m really seeing the benefit of that space.

Because this work isn’t just about the body.( and the body is epic!!)

We drop into deep inquiry
exploring relational patterns, emotional releases, birth trauma, mental loops…
going where it’s needed.
And then allow the body to speak and unwind on the table.

I feel the strong desire to keep serving in this way.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to work together.

Tomorrow I’m heading to Portland for a 6-day training in integrative internal pelvic care
with mentors I really trust.
I’m so excited to weave this into my offerings for those who feel called to it.
