Last year, we reached hundreds of girls in Makoko and Ikota with reusable pads and menstrual health education.

We saw the impact. We also saw the need to go further.

We tried again in December. And again in January. But we didn’t raise enough.

So we listened, we restructured—and now, we’re back.

This May, for World Mental Health Day, we’re reaching 750 girls across Lagos with reusable pads and the confidence, education, and support to manage their cycles with dignity.

₦3,500 sponsors one girl.
One year of support.
One powerful ripple effect.

Be part of it.

Pad A Girl Phase 2 is now live 🎉

In May 2024, we reached over 400 girls in Makoko and Ikota with reusable pads and menstrual hygiene education. For many, rising costs had made managing their periods difficult, but reusable options provided dignity and confidence.

Now, we’re taking the next step: reaching 750 girls across underserved communities in Lagos. Each girl will receive a reusable pad kit, a care package and menstrual health education.

With just ₦3,500, you can sponsor a girl for an entire year and be part of this journey of empowerment.

✨ Donate in Naira or Other Currencies via the link in our bio.
Together, we’re breaking the cycle of period poverty and changing lives. 💕

Period poverty is debilitating and hampers the education and health of young girls.

Up to 24% of young Nigerian girls skip school because they can’t afford menstrual products.

As part of our campaign and desire to see girls thrive, we at HerSpace HQ are delighted that we were able to make an impact by empowering these young ones.

We can do more together.💜

There is still a lot of work to be done in ensuring that every girl child has a safe space to not only grow, but thrive.

Part of creating a safe space for young women is providing them with the resources they need to lead safe and productive lives.

Together, we can do more.💜

Day 2 of the Pad-a-Girl outreach was held in the Eti-Osa local government at Ikota.

It was so rewarding being able to reach even more young girls, providing them with the menstrual support resources that they need to have clean, comfortable, and safe periods.

The girls were lively and asked a lot of questions required menstruation and menstrual hygiene and we are grateful that we could be of help.

In total, we were able to pad up to 401 girls. Thank you to all our donors for the support, every naira went a long way in making this outreach successful.💜

A big thank you to all our passionate volunteers who ensured the smooth running of the outreach.

We officially kicked off Day 1 of the Pad-a-Girl outreach at Makoko on Tuesday, 28th of May in honour of World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2024.

Collaborating with @femmeavenue.ng @vgfoundation_ng @project.fiftyfour , we were able to impact the lives of young girls, educate them on proper menstrual hygiene and directly fought against period poverty by providing them with reusable pads as well as proper usage guidance.

This outreach isn’t just a one day’s event, it’s a year long effort with sustained support for the girls.

Thank you for being a part of this journey and making this change possible.💜

With just 3,500 Naira (3.5 USD), you can provide a year’s worth of menstrual hygiene support to one girl in need. 💖

Femme Avenue, Valued Girls Foundation, Her Space, and Project 54, are on a mission to reach 400 girls with reusable pads and vital menstrual education. 📚

Your donation not only supplies menstrual products but also supports logistics and sensitization programs, for sustained support throughout the year. 🎓

Together, we can keep girls in school and help them chase their dreams. ✨
