Last year, we reached hundreds of girls in Makoko and Ikota with reusable pads and menstrual health education.

We saw the impact. We also saw the need to go further.

We tried again in December. And again in January. But we didn’t raise enough.

So we listened, we restructured—and now, we’re back.

This May, for World Mental Health Day, we’re reaching 750 girls across Lagos with reusable pads and the confidence, education, and support to manage their cycles with dignity.

Pad A Girl Phase 2 is now live 🎉

In May 2024, we reached over 400 girls in Makoko and Ikota with reusable pads and menstrual hygiene education. For many, rising costs had made managing their periods difficult, but reusable options provided dignity and confidence.

Now, we’re taking the next step: reaching 750 girls across underserved communities in Lagos. Each girl will receive a reusable pad kit, a care package and menstrual health education.

With just ₦3,500, you can sponsor a girl for an entire year and be part of this journey of empowerment.

Day 2 of our PAD A GIRL outreach happened last Saturday at the Ikota Community and it was a very engaging event!🙌🏻
We had 6 educative sessions with different girls, young women and even older women who came to understand how to use the reusable pads in order to teach their daughters who couldn’t make it! We got good feedbacks even signed up Pad A Girl Advocates who committed to teaching other girls the importance of proper menstrual hygiene practices within their community and schools 💪🏼

From Makoko to Ikota we were able to reach our target of reaching out to 400 girls/women and for this we are super grateful to all our fellow implementation partners, team members and volunteers and donators who made this a successful reality 🙌🏻👏

Day 1 of our Pad A Girl outreach on May 28th at Makoko settlement was a very insightful and humbling experience. 🙏🏻

We are grateful for the opportunity to engage and educate the girls and young women on proper menstrual hygiene practices and give out quality sanitary pads that will help them for at least a Year! 🙌🏻
