💜 A parent watching their child light up.

🙌 Athletes who inspire.

😊 Friendships that begin with a simple, "Want to play?"

Shout out to every athlete, volunteer, partner and community member who helped make our inaugural festival so special.

Women’s sport history is filled with milestones and historic firsts worth celebrating.

Each of those moments began much earlier, when someone had the opportunity to play.

That’s why access at the grassroots level matters. A first try may feel like a small moment, but we never know where it could lead. 💜

The momentum in women’s sport is real.

Canada’s professional women’s sport market doubled in two years, equal prize money is coming to the National Bank Open in 2027, and participation at the grassroots level is growing.💜🔥

We want to keep that momentum going by amplifying the voices and organizations moving girls' and women’s sport forward.🎤

Here are a few Canadian voices contributing to that movement:

@womenandsportca
@girlsforwardca
@shes4sports
@thesportsisterhood
@tenniscanada and its Game. Set. Equity. initiative
@inclusioncsn
@shesgotnext.ca
@hoopqueens
@hergame.to
@footybedsheets

Who else should we be amplifying? by @hersportsfest

Sport builds confidence, connection and a sense of belonging. But first, young people need the chance to play. 🔑⚽️🏏🏐

This International Youth Day, we’re celebrating what can happen when we invest in accessible, welcoming spaces where girls and youth can explore different sports, try something new and discover what they enjoy.

Access creates opportunity. And every young person deserves the joy of play 💜

Sport brings us together. Connection is what stays with us. 💜

Girls discovering new possibilities. Athletes sharing their experiences. Families, organizations and partners building relationships and creating opportunities through collaboration.

Her Sports Fest is about creating a space where people feel welcome, supported and part of something.

Thank you to Lisa Grogan, Co-Founder and CEO of @overlapassociates, for recognizing the value of these moments and helping us bring them to life.

The UNMATCHED Gender Equity in Sport Conference brought together voices from across sport to share what’s working, exchange fresh ideas and help shape what comes next. 💜

We loved seeing familiar @hersportsfest faces @anastasure + athlete ambassador @zoe_sherar, and connecting with @shes4sports, @asiabreezes and @terri_temelini from @tenniscanada🎾💜🤗

We also had the chance to meet the one and only @jcubedhax, whose humour, energy and authentic love for women’s sports have made her one of its most recognizable voices!🔥

Thank you to @tenniscanada and @nationalbankofcanada for creating space to learn, connect and keep this work moving forward. With equal prize money coming to the @nbotoronto in 2027, that progress is taking tangible form.

We left energized and ready to keep building🧱 🎾
